Westwood Middle School hosted their "Family Data Night." This event allowed families to take a deep dive into their child's data. They reviewed "iReady" data, discussed scholar expectations as well as attendance and behavior.

Forest Hills Elementary School hosted their "Math Night." Families were able to learn math strategies that they could use to assist their children with homework.

Forest Hills Elementary School scholars were engaged and entertained while participating in math activity during Math Night.

Scholars received Positive Office Referrals given by Principal Jackson. Go Gators!

September 25 - Career ChoICE Expo for 7th Graders; Middle School Football home game vs. Mecklenburg at 5:30 p.m.

September 26 - Career ChoICE Expo for 9th Graders; GW JV and Varsity Volleyball home games vs. Tunstall, starting at 5:30 p.m.

September 27 - GW Varsity Football home game vs. Staunton River at 7 p.m.

September 28 - River City Classic Band Competition. Doors open at 1:30 p.m.

Our high schools invite their students and staff to take part in their GearUp Spirit Week next week, September 23-27! GearUp Leaders are asking if you post pictures on social media to use the #DPSGEARUPSOAR. In addition, schools will be having their 10th grade cohort (the Gear Up group) complete a letter to themselves to open on graduation, as well as an "In 25 years....." letter.
