This Week at Creek

NTI Information
As winter weather is upon us, we are reaching out to remind everyone about the district's severe weather procedures.
Announcements about school delays, closures, or NTI weather days are announced via email, phone call, and text message, as well as on social media, the district website, and local media outlets.
Please take a moment to update your contact information and communication preferences in Infinite Campus so that you receive notifications about winter weather. Visit www.fcps.net/IC for more information or contact our school registrar for assistance.
In the event of inclement weather:
Central office will notify everyone if schools are closed or if we are having a non-traditional instruction (NTI) day.
If there is a NTI day, our students will receive/complete their work via Canvas.
The NTI day will follow the block rotation scheduled day.
There will not be any direct, teacher-led instruction (students will learn asynchronously), but teachers will have office hours from 1:30p-3:30p.
TCHS teachers' NTI lessons will be labeled as "NTI Day 1", etc. and Dr. Field will provide families the NTI day and number to help limit confusion.
Students will have (3) three school days to submit assignments once we return to school. Dr. Field will provide specific dates to students and families.
Students who qualify for meal assistance, have an IEP, or 504 Plan are eligible for a hot spot if internet access is not available at the student's residence.
Students who are unable to complete their work on an NTI weather day because of power outages, internet connectivity, or other issues will have three school days after returning to school to complete and submit missed assignments.
The FCPS Technology Help Desk is open on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at (859) 422-4410 for assistance with Chromebooks and student email accounts.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership.

Fall Finals Schedule
Below is our fall finals schedule. Tech school students will attend their tech schools as scheduled and we will accommodate an alternate time for them to take their TCHS final(s).
If your student is unable to attend a final as scheduled due to a pre-arranged educational opportunity they should complete THIS form (Spanish) and submit to the Main Office no later than December 9th. Decisions will be communicated within 3 school days and it is the responsibility of the student to schedule an alternate testing time. For health related absences, students should submit documentation to the Attendance Office.
Final Exam Exemptions
According to our Spring 2023 KSA Incentive Policy, students were able to earn exemptions for their Fall 2023 Final Exams. Current juniors could have up to 4 final exam exemptions. Current seniors could have earned up to 6 final exam exemptions (nobody earned 6, but some earned 5). Starting soon, students will be able to pick up Final Exam passes during their lunch or breakfast. The passes are printed on bright orange paper and contain their name typed in each pass (they are very similar to the formative assessment passes they earned last spring).
Students must submit their exam exemption passes to teachers by Monday, December 9.
Senior Baby Photos
If you would like to feature your student's baby photo with a personal message in the yearbook, please complete THIS form. The deadline for submitting photos is 12/2.
Please feel free to contact Mrs. Suttles with any questions or concerns (megan.suttles@fayette.kyschools.us)
ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery)
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a multiple-aptitude battery that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. It is administered annually to more than one million military applicants, high school, and post-secondary students. ASVAB scores are used to determine if you are qualified to enlist in the military and to assign you to an appropriate job in the military.
If any students are interested in taking the ASVAB, please email Mr. Dixon @ john.dixon@fayette.kyschools.us. Testing will take place on December 11th in room B319.
