Cliff Markham Memorial Machinist Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year. This
scholarship, designed to support students enrolled in the Computer Integrated

Sumitomo Machinery Corporation of America established the Cliff Markham Memorial
Machinist Scholarship Endowment in 2021 in honor of Cliff, a graduate of COA's

extends beyond professional success, marked by his role as an ambassador for COA
and his invaluable contributions to student recruitment in the machining technology
program.
Reflecting Sumitomo's dedication to nurturing future talent, the company recently
presented the College of The Albemarle Foundation with a generous $15,000
contribution to the scholarship endowment fund.
Students interested in applying for the Cliff Markham Memorial Machinist Scholarship
must be enrolled in COA’s Computer Integrated Machining diploma or certificate
program, maintain good academic standing, and exhibit financial need.

Teen & Young Professionals Mentoring & Leadership Council
The Office of Congressman Don Davis is excited to announce the formation of the First Congressional District's Teen and Young Professionals Mentoring and Leadership Council! This Council will serve as a vehicle for supporting and cultivating young leaders in Eastern North Carolina and will enable students to expand their resume while learning about the interworking of the legislative process.
In order to ensure that we are reaching students across the First Congressional District, it is crucial that high school students from all counties are represented. Please share this information with any high school student leaders you know in your school district and ask them to fill out this form if interested: https://forms.office.com/g/U6WHRMZ6jy.
