Burke Bulletin #10
December 14th, 2024
All the details:
As we enter our last week of school in 2024, things are getting busy! As I know this time of year can be overwhelming for everyone, here are the big school wide dates and events for this week:
12/15: Robotics club travels to Rutland for competition. Good luck!
12/15: Tree lighting ceremony in East Burke with our BTS Tree honoring the victims and first responders from the July floods, 3PM
12/16: Student Council field trip to Siskin for Vermont History event
12/16-20: BTS Spirit Week (flier below)
12/16: Relocation drill at 2:30, details below
12/17-18: Drop off for Holiday Shoppe before and after school at the gym
12/19: Holiday Shoppe open for students
12/20: Early Release and gifts from Holiday Shoppe go home with students
12/20: No PreK!
Relocation Drill: This is a drill we must practice in the case of an emergency that requires us to relocate students and staff to a different location. For our first drill, we will simply relocate to the gym and practice dismissing from there. This will only impact families who do parent pick up as we will dismiss from the gym and not from the regular spots. We ask that you stay in your cars and follow the direction of Mr. Handy and Ms. BG in the parking lot as we will create a loop that picks up in front of the gym doors. Children will be brought to your cars from the gym, so please wait in your vehicle until we bring your child to you. We appreciate everyone’s patience with this and please do not arrive any earlier than normal as it is important we have order during this drill to make it as safe and efficient as possible.
Thank you, everyone, for all your support during our first trimester. We hope you are are able to have a joyous, warm and restful holiday break and look forward to seeing you all in the New Year!
With warmth and gratitude,
Ms. Branson Gill
