Alice Carlson ALC: Where Questions Lead to Learning Adventures

We believe in the power of applied learning and its ability to inspire and transform our students. Our core beliefs do not change, but each year, we choose a theme to help promote a sense of community and highlight unique aspects of our program. Room 10 took on the challenge of crafting this year's theme before heading off to middle school!

Questioning is a key part of unlocking knowledge and understanding. By encouraging our students to ask questions, we empower them to take charge of their learning and lead others on a path of discovery.

We look forward to welcoming you to the 2024-2025 school year. Let the adventure begin!

Teacher Assignments, Summer Mailer, School Supplies....oh my!

Teacher Assignments: Letters were mailed TODAY!

PTA Summer Mailer: We will be sending this out early next week. This packet is mailed to you so you have a handy dandy paper copy of all things Carlson. Please take the time to read it and refer back to it.

School Supplies: Our PTA purchases all of our school supplies in bulk and organizes them in the classrooms before the first day of school. Payments are due after the start of the school year at alicecarlsonpta.org/school-supplies. You will get reminders from your room parent closer to the due date.

Thursday Folder

Your child will come home with a folder on the first day of school. It has two documents inside that must be returned with the folder on Wednesday. The first is an information card we need if online contact information is inaccessible. The second is a permission slip for your child to attend field trips this year. There are also documents that you need to take out and keep, which include:

1. Dress Code

2. Attendance

3. August Calendar

After this week, all campus paper communication will go home on Thursdays, in what we appropriately refer to as "The Thursday Folder."

Free Meals: 2024-2025

Breakfast and lunch will be free for the 2024-2025 school year. However, you can still load money on your child's account to purchase additional offerings in the cafeteria.

If you have not set up an account already, please follow the three simple steps listed below:

Go to www.MySchoolBucks.com and register for a free account.
You will receive a confirmation email with a link to activate your account.
You will then be able to add money to your child's account using their school name and student ID.
