Congratulations to Hellstern Middle School girls basketball coach Allison Handy, the January 2025 winner of Springdale Spotlight! She wins a prize pack, including a T-shirt, stickers, a Springdale Spotlight mug and more.
In a heartwarming display of sportsmanship and inclusion, Coach Handy made a special substitution in the final play of the game. Fendley, a beloved teammate confined to a wheelchair, joined the action. Having shared countless hours on the court with her friends since second grade, this was a moment of pure joy. With Fendley's assist, the Hellstern Heroes secured a thrilling victory over the Lingle Lions, 25-13.
