Twelve students from 6th, 7th & 8th grade Orchestra represented Lower Moreland at this year's PMEA District 11 Elementary and Middle School String Fest hosted at Souderton High School. These students practiced with students from 15 other school districts in Bucks and Montgomery Counties under direction of guest conductors. They then performed a concert for family and friends.

We had a great turnout for our Grade 8 trip to Bear Creek this year. We had beautiful weather for skiing, snow boarding, and tubing. Thank you to Mrs. Maloney for all her work preparing for our trip. A huge thank you to Mr. Mahaney, Mr. Weisblatt, Ms. Reese, Mrs. Patton, Mrs. Moss, and Mrs. Huber who came with us!

In Spanish 2, we have been learning restaurant skills: asking for recommendations, ordering food and drinks, complimenting the food and making complaints to the server. Students did an in-class roleplay activity where they took on the role of wait staff and customers for an authentic and fun world language experience!

The Lower Moreland High School counselors came to LMMS to talk about high school course selection. The students were given information about their high school schedule including information about elective offerings, the high school transcript, and high school credits for their upcoming ninth grade year.

Mrs. Cerruti took students to the Huntingdon Valley Library. Students practiced filling out the form necessary for their own library card. They were met by the head of the Teen & Adult Services, Beth Bilus, who provided a tour of the library and a highlight of all library activities specific to the teen years. The students were amazed by everything that the library had available to them.
