Supported by Auckland Council and The Friends of the Auckland Botanic Gardens, this event is a wonderful opportunity to see 15 stunning large-scale works from some of Aotearoa’s leading sculptors on a 2km sculpture trail throughout the gardens.

We will make comfort/coffee stops en route.

We'll book for lunch at 12.30 & plan to leave Tauranga, after pick-ups, by 10.00 to give you a chance to visit the great Whakatane shops - very similar in character to Mt Maunganui's main street.

Clients have enjoyed the food at Roquette in both Whakatane & Taupo, but the Whakatane restaurant doesn't open on a Sunday, hence the Saturday visit.

We always enjoy travelling to Whakatane; the views en route are some of the most scenic in NZ.

Roquette is situated over the road from the beach &, if you wish, you can enjoy a walk along the beach front.

We have chosen a set menu of two courses & were pleased to have several options offered.

Top Notch Macadamias is north of Morrinsville, in the Waikato. The elevated orchard is home to over 1500 macadamia trees, many native birds and one lovely old dog. A lot of people are surprised to hear about macadamias growing in this regioN, but lots of sun provides a micro-climate ideal for a flourishing macadamia orchard.

We will depart Tauranga at 9.00, after pick-ups. We expect to arrive at the orchard at 10.30 & have a morning tea before our tour of the venue's orchard & factory. We will then travel on to Paeroa via Kerepehi & you will have time in Paeroa to shop. We plan to arrive back in Tauranga at approximately 4.00pm.

The Bay of Plenty Tasting Tour commences by visiting a boutique craft brewery, where the process of producing the natural beer with no preservatives or additives is explained & a range of beer is sampled. (If you're not a beer drinker, you can choose samples of cider or beer.)
We then travel South to Volcanic Hills Winery, Rotorua, to have sumptuous antI pasto platters & a wine presentation & tasting. The tasting room at this venue sits at the top of the Skyline gondola. During your visit you will be able to soak up the magnificent view overlooking Rotorua city & lake, while relaxing with a glass of wine & something to eat.
The tour returns to Tauranga for dessert & a cocktail (or dessert & a coffee, if you prefer) at one of Tauranga's most popular restaurants, Salinity Restaurant & Bar, overlooking our beautiful harbour & marina.
We then return you to ship-side (or to local accommodatiON0.

We go up a short distance to the Minden Look Out which has 360 degree views of the Coastal Bay of Plenty, before returning to Tauranga for dessert & a cocktail or coffee) at one of Tauranga's most popular restaurants, Salinity Restaurant & Bar, overlooking our beautiful harbour & marina.
We then return you to ship-side (or to local accommodation).
