Note from the Principal
Dear Beaver Ridge ES Parents and Guardians,
It is hard to believe we have closed another successful school year. I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child's education. It has been a year filled with growth, learning, and memorable experiences for our students, and we could not have achieved this without your involvement and encouragement.
I would like to share some important information and resources to help you and your child make the most of the upcoming break. While summer is a time for relaxation and fun, it's also an excellent opportunity for students to continue learning in engaging and enjoyable ways.
Here are a few suggestions:
Reading Programs: Encourage your child to participate in our local library's summer reading program or explore new books and genres that interest them.
Educational Trips and Activities: Visits to museums, nature parks, and historical sites can be both educational and entertaining. These experiences provide real-world learning and spark curiosity.
Online Resources: There are many online platforms that offer educational games, virtual tours, and interactive lessons. Websites like Khan Academy, PBS Kids, and National Geographic Kids can be great resources.
See below for more summer learning opportunities!
Summer Safety: Your child's safety is our top priority. Here are a few tips to keep in mind:
- Water Safety: Whether your family is visiting the beach, a pool, or a lake, ensure that children are supervised at all times and understand the importance of water safety.
- Sun Protection: Protect your child from the sun by using sunscreen, wearing hats, and ensuring they stay hydrated.
- Internet Safety: If your child is spending time online, remind them about the importance of online safety. Monitor their internet use and discuss the potential risks associated with social media and online interactions.
Back-to-School Preparations: To ensure a smooth transition back to school in August, here are a few reminders:
- School Supplies: Beaver Ridge ES will again be providing all student school supplies. Parents are welcome to purchase their backpacks and a water bottle.
- Important Dates: The first day of school for the next academic year is August 5, 2024. Please mark your calendars and check our website for updates on Meet Your Teacher day and other important events.
- Health Records: Ensure that your child's vaccinations and health records are up to date.
Lastly, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated teachers and staff who have worked tirelessly to create a positive and enriching learning environment for our students. Their commitment and passion are truly inspiring.
I wish you and your family a wonderful, safe, and enjoyable summer. We look forward to welcoming our students back in the fall, refreshed and ready for another fantastic year of learning.
Proud to be your principal,
Martina Luna-Liranzo

Addressing Concerns at School
Gwinnett County Public Schools finds that the quickest and most effective way to resolve a concern regarding your child is by addressing it at the most direct level.Addressing Concerns at School graphic
In our school district, we care about each and every student. We also believe that open and honest communication between parents and teachers is a key to student success. Thank you for partnering with your child’s teacher and school to address any concerns.
1. Teacher - First, talk to your child’s teacher or a counselor at school for assistance. Most concerns are resolved at the classroom level.
2. Assistant Principal - If the concern is not resolved at the classroom level, please contact your child’s assistant principal.
3. Principal - If working with the AP does not adequately address the issue, please contact the school principal.
Parent Square
We are excited to announce that our school district has adopted a new form of school-to-home communication called ParentSquare. This unified communications platform is designed to keep parents and guardians informed and encourage greater engagement and connection with your child’s school and Gwinnett County Public Schools.
ParentSquare provides a safe way for district administrators, school principals, teachers, staff, and parents to receive and send information, such as:
- Weather-related closings & delays
- School and class information
- Share pictures and files
- See calendar items
- Upcoming class activities
Beginning July 18, 2023, district and school information will now be sent to your computer or phone via email and/or text via ParentSquare. For even more convenience, download the ParentSquare app (available for free for iOS and Android devices).
