There is a time and a season for everything and after much reflection and prayer, I have made the decision to step away from my role as Director at the end of this school year. Butterfly School has been more than just my workplace; it has been my ministry, my joy, and a true blessing. These past nine years have filled my soul with love, laughter, and the privilege of watching your children grow. This school has been my heart, and I am so grateful for the love and support of our wonderful families.

Even though it has not been easy to decide to step away from a place and people I deeply love, I am excited to share that Butterfly School will continue to thrive under the expert guidance of Ms. Tracy, our dedicated Assistant Director, along with our new directors, Laura Chron and Laura Goodman. Both have invested significantly into our program and will carry forward the mission and heart of our school. See their bios below-

Although this transition is filled with mixed emotions, I look forward to cherishing these last months together and celebrating all that makes Butterfly School so special. Thank you for the love, trust, and memories—I will forever hold Butterfly School in my heart.

Open enrollment for the general Coppell community and surrounding areas, begins Tuesday, February 4.

In January we heard Bible stories about obeying . Noah obeyed God and built an Ark and God promised not to flood the earth again with a rainbow. Children made their own arks and colored them in art class. In February we will be hearing Bible stories about being strong and courageous with God's help. Children will be reminded of God's love for them through David and Goliath and Daniel in the Lion's Den. We continue to use songs and activities to bring our bible stories to life! This month's Bible Memory Verse is Joshua 1:9 “Be strong and courageous ".

February is here and we are feeling the love! ❤️

This month we will be keeping the beat with our gross and fine motor skills! We will talk and sing about how much God loves us. And we are starting to learn some of the songs for our performance at the end of the year! I love each one of your littles and am blessed by the fun and giggles we share each week

In art class, we learned about a new artist, Piet Mondrian, and his use of primary colors and geometric elements. The Piet Mondrian snowman was one of the examples the students exhibited his work.. In February, we will focus on a new artist, Jim Dine, and his use of hearts in his artwork.

In science this month we will explore surface tension in two parts and chemical reactions while baking Valentine cookies. Fantastic Fridays in February!!
