Falcon Flyer
Belong. Inspire. Grow.
Straight from the Hardt
Hello Ridgeline Families- Great things are happening here at Ridgeline High. Looking back, we ended last weekend with the Masquerade Ball, winter formal dance. It was a beautiful night where the weather cooperated and the students had a great time! Getting dressed up seems to bring out the best in people. Our 500 or so guests that evening were great. Thank you to Mrs. Nielsen and the Junior class volunteers who organized this event and made it look very festive with their decorations.
You’ll see info in today’s Flyer about registration for next year. We call it “registration”, but what we’re really doing is gathering every students course requests by preference and interest so that we can build the best possible master schedule to meet those requests. We’re going to run and extended advisory schedule Feb. 21 and finish them by Feb. 28. This one-week window is you and your student’s best attempt at this time to select courses. If you have questions, you can contact your grade level counselor. And, YES, there are always opportunities down the road to change your mind…
WELCOME to our 8th grade families! From this week on you will be receiving our weekly newsletter. I do this for a couple reasons… there are some events coming up that we want our Future Falcons to be a part of AND we want parents/students who are new to Ridgeline to have the opportunity to get to know us better! 2023-24 Freshman registration will happen at Greenacres and Selkirk on March 2nd and 3rd.
Just for fun on Thursday I invited all twins to take a group photo. It was spirit week “twin day”, so getting actual biological twins together for a picture was very fun! We had about a third of our 22 sets of twins show up for the picture. We also missed our one set of triplets!
You still have time to have your voice heard on our district Strategic Plan. Any parent, student, staff member, or community member can participate through this virtual platform. You can see others thinking and it changes all the time as input grows. Click here: CESO Crowdicity website
It’s a 3-Day weekend for President’s Day, make it a great one! –Mr. Hardt

Graphic Arts
Graphic Arts had some fun with this week's assignments. Take a look! Colorful Pop Art inspired by Andy Warhol, and black and white Serif vs. Sans Serif Balanced Art using the letters of their first and last names. Graphic Arts is a great way to embrace their creative side, or bring it out if it needs a little coaxing. Well done, Falcon Graphic Designers!
Chess Club
On Wednesday RHS competed as a team against UHS in its first ever inter-district Chess Tournament. As a team we won the most matches but lost the final, resulting in a team tie. We will be competing again in March and again in April. We hope to include other valley schools in the future events.
Yearbook Club Photos
Yearbook club pictures are scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 22.
Pictures will be taken throughout the school day. Students should check with their club adviser for more information.
No School on Monday, February 20th
