The Primary Connection

Thursday we had our annual Field Day! After a gloomy Wednesday, we had the perfect day to be outside and having fun in our final moments of the school year! Unfortunately, I was living in the moment with our studens and staff and I missed taking photos to share.

Next week is a very short week and then we are off for the summer. We know you have choices as to where your child(ren) attend school and I am thankful that you have chosen Edwardsburg for your family! Enjoy the beautiful weekend and we will see you next week for the end of the year wrap-up.

The 24 - 25 school year is right around the corner. This past week, the EPS Board of Education approved the calendar for the coming school year. I have attached a copy of it to this newsletter and it is also available on our district website.

One noticeable change is that our district will implement a monthly late start each month. This time is designed for professional development and collaboaration amongst our instructional staff. This protected time allows teachers and staff to stay updated on the latest educational practices, teaching techniques, and curriculum changes. By incorporating late starts, schools can provide dedicated time for professional development without disrupting the regular school day.

This annual event will provide FREE backpacks with age-appropriate school supplies to pre-K- 12th grade students who live in and/or attend Cass County schools. Online pre-registration is required at uwsm.org. Online pre-registration begins June 24 at uwsm.org/school-supply-spectacular.
