Super Spring Musical
"CATS" (the musical) is based on Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats by T.S. Eliot, published in 1939. It is the 4th longest-running Broadway show. “CATS” has been presented in more than 30 countries and 15 languages.
Wilmington High School presents "CATS: Young Actor's Edition" for one incredible weekend...April 28 & 29, AND April 30, 2023.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, April 14, 2023 (at 7:00am). All seats $12.00.

End of Course Testing
Below is the schedule for end of course state assessments. Please make sure your child has a good breakfast, arrives at school on time, and gets plenty of sleep so they can show their best on theses tests!
Community Messenger: One-Calls
Families that are in our student management system will get one-call notifications automatically. If you have other family members or community members that would like to receive notifications and information from the school please use the link below to sign up.
Simply click the Wilmington City Schools option listed under Other Schools and you want to select the building(s) of choice.
WHS Prom is Saturday, May 6th from 7:00-10:00 and The Roberts Centre. The Grand March will start at 6:30. Students will be permitted to leave starting at 9:00. Please read the following dance guidelines for this event.
Mock Crash
Monday, May 1st, we will host a Mock Crash at WHS. The purpose of a mock crash is to educate our students and community members about the tragedy of traffic crashes while reinforcing the importance of using seat belts, paying attention behind the wheel, and to show the consequences of driving after consuming alcohol and/or distracted driving.
The mock crash will be conducted by the Wilmington Police and Fire Departments as part of their community education and outreach program.
Sometimes events like this can be difficult to witness. Students may opt to stay inside the building during this time. Please also know that emergency vehicles, including a CareFlight helicopter, will be active and present during this exercise
Final Exams
Senior Exams will be May 18th and 19th. 9th-11th Grade Exams will be May 22nd-24th.
Graduation
The 150th Graduation Commencement is on May 26, 2023 at 7:00 in the Middle School Gymnasium.
There will be a MANDATORY PRACTICE on May 26th at 10:00 am in the Middle School Gym. Breakfast will be served at 9:00 am in the Auditeria. If students do not attend practice, they will not be permitted to participate in graduation ceremony.
Each student will receive 6 tickets for the graduation ceremony. Tickets will be electronic and distributed through HomeTown Ticketing. The event will also be live-streamed. There will be extra tickets available upon request based on space. Seniors do not need a ticket for themselves, only their guests. Senior Palooza Day
We are excited to celebrate our seniors on May 12th with our first WHS Senior Palooza!
The day will start at 9:00am with a special guest speaker followed by a senior walk through of the elementary schools and the middle school, and ending with a senior picnic and games at Alumni Field.
Chromebook Fees
Tech Fees for the 2022 - 2023 school year are $50 and due at the start of the school year.
In-person payments by cash or check can be made in the front office.
All other payments should be paid online at www.payschoolscentral.com From there either Register or Log-in if you have used the site previously. Fees are at the bottom. You will need to scroll down to see the Tech Fee.
