The Burruss Weekly Newsletter

Happy Leap Day!
Today is the last day to purchase a yearbook for only $20! Prices go up to $25 on March 1 and sales close a few weeks after that. I have seen the preview for the yearbook, and trust me, you are going to want your own copy! The Burruss yearbook is packed with pictures and memories and kids will spend hours looking through the book. Please consider ordering, not only to support the school, but because it is a precious memory book. Click here to order!
Will you be in town over Spring Break? If so, would you consider helping our garden grow and come water the plants? Click here to sign up!
Every year, Georgia public schools request survey data from families. This data is analyzed along with student and staff survey results to inform our climate rating. Before you take the survey, please know that administrators are not able to see survey results. We simply see the climate star rating sometime in summer. Therefore, please do not use the survey as a chance to voice a concern to me or Mrs. Waldrep or your child's teacher(s). Instead, please know that we always welcome your feedback and would love to hear from you directly so that we can take action regarding your feedback. Click here to take the survey: https://gshs.gadoe.org/Pages/parent.aspx
Thank you for your support of our school. I remain thankful for this incredible community!
If you have any questions, concerns, suggestions...anything, please reach out to me anytime.

A Note from Nurse Peggy
With winter months come lots of sickness. Please keep your child home until s/he is fever free without Tylenol or Motrin for 24 hours. Also, if they vomit or have diarrhea, they should stay home for 24 hours. We are seeing lots of cases of strep throat, flu, COVID, and stomach bugs. and the spread can be prevented if we keep sick kids at home and encourage hand-washing.
