Family Workshop Series
FACE Specialists, the Student Support team, and the Curriculum & Instruction (C&I) team worked collaboratively, in partnership with the Boys and Girls Club, to facilitate workshops for families across our district. These workshops covered important topics such as mental health, behavior, health and wellness, and academic success.
Westwood Middle School
Tiger Highlight: Ms. Crews' AG Environmental Science class received a visit from Meteorologist Justin Povick at WDBJ7. Mr. Povick spoke to classes, allowed students to receive hands-on experience with weather tools. During his visit students v]reviewed climate change and important environmental standards, learned of possible careers, and discussed all things science!
Activ8 STEM Academy
Activ8 scholars traveled to Washington, DC where they toured museums and took in the sites in our nations capitol. A fantastic time was had by all!

CTE Job Fair: Future Ready...Beyond!
Eleventh and twelfth-grade students from George Washington High School had the opportunity to attend the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Fair hosted by Denver Public Schools (DPS). During the event, students engaged with various vendors to learn about their career paths and explore potential job opportunities. They were also able to fill out job applications on-site, providing a real-time connection between education and workforce readiness. This hands-on experience is part of DPS's broader mission to prepare students for successful futures through practical learning and career exploration
DEADLINE EXTENDED - Summer Enrichment Camps
The Summer Enrichment Camp registration deadline has been extended to April 8. Get those registrations in by Tuesday for a week of fun and activities over summer break!
Our 2025 Summer Enrichment Camp registration is now open! This summer, our district is excited to provide a wide range of enriching opportunities designed to support student growth, ignite curiosity, and prepare learners for a successful academic year ahead. These camps will be held from June 30 - July 3 from 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Transportation and meals will be provided.

It's time to register for Kindergarten!

DPS has a FREE high quality preschool program for 3 and 4 year olds! The full-day program includes fun early learning experiences, as well as transportation and meals. Register now, space is limited!

Let's celebrate National DNA Day! This fun-filled event will give participants the chance to extract DNA from strawberries using simple household materials. What to Expect: a guided step-by-step DNA extraction experiment; interactive discussions about DNA, genetics, and why strawberries are great for DNA extraction; fun activities and trivia for all ages; a chance to see and touch real strawberry DNA.
