The Manning Minute

Dear Manning Families,

I’d like to begin by congratulating our amazing musical theater students on their fantastic performances of Frozen Jr. this past week. They did an outstanding job and truly made the Manning community proud!

As we approach the final week of MAP testing, students will be completing their math assessments. We’re proud of their hard work and effort in showcasing their knowledge and growth on these assessments.

Looking ahead, our talented band and orchestra students will take the stage for their winter performances on Thursday, December 12. We’re excited to hear their wonderful music and celebrate their dedication.

A quick reminder: the Round 1 Choice Enrollment window opened on December 5 and will close on January 17. Be sure to log in to Enroll Jeffco to confirm your intent for the 2025/2026 school year. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our main office.

Second-semester schedules will be available for students to review in Infinite Campus starting at 4:00 PM on Friday, December 13. If you have any questions, please contact your student’s counselor.

Additionally, we kindly ask for your help in keeping the designated PTA silent auction winner’s parking space clear for their use. Recently, the current winner has been unable to utilize this space. It is clearly marked with a large metal sign. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!

Donate to an important cause! Taylor Tuesday is sponsoring a donation drive for homeless teen girls at Urban Peak. We are collecting new makeup and new or gently used hair items because these items are rarely donated to homeless shelters and these young girls deserve to have access to beauty in their lives! Bring your donations to Mrs. Laniel's room, N110 before December 10th! Thank you!

We are in need of tissues. If you are able to send a box or 2 in they would be appreciated.

Congratulations to Nora Smith for auditioning into the CU honor band. She was one of only TWO tenor saxophones to make this prestigious state-wide group. She will perform with the other accepted students in February. Congratulations also to Tyler Halstead for landing the second alternate spot for the trumpet section. Way to go!!

Attention anyone interested in auditioning for Jazz band: the sign-ups are outside of the band room. Auditions are after school on either Monday or Wednesday this week. Talk to Mr. E if you have any questions.

Congratulations to the following students who made All State Choir! Molly Adams, Sariah Lockhart, Izzy Bontrager, Camilla Franklin, Addie Fleming, Adylane Jensen, Kiera Cathcart, Claire Wetherington, Georgia Fulton, Ayla Heller, Cecilia Adame, Naomi Meng and Alex Osaka.

The Spelling Bee is returning to Manning on Wednesday, January 15th beginning at 1pm! Please use this form to sign up by December 13th. Note: if there are a lot of participants, you may be asked to take a short spelling test to qualify.

Lucky Mustang Casino Night - IT’S ON!

Mark your calendars for Thursday, December 19th. It’s gonna be epic! For those that don’t already have tickets, PURCHASE TICKETS HERE. We are also looking for volunteers, who will receive free tickets. SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER HERE.

The silent auction was a huge success, so this will be a night of connection and celebration! We hope to see you there.

Manning Staff Favorites | We are excited to share the Staff Favorites Form, designed to help you find the perfect way to celebrate our amazing Manning staff for the holidays! This easy-to-use form show’s all the favorite things of every teacher, staff member, and specialty area educators.

Wish your student “Happy Birthday” on Manning’s marquee | In case you haven’t seen it, this year you can wish your student "Happy Birthday!" on Manning's marquee (located off of 32nd Ave.)! The message will rotate throughout the day of your choice. Messages need to be requested TWO weeks prior to when you want it posted, so please plan accordingly. Cost is $20 with all funds going back to Manning. Learn more HERE!
