Year 8 Book Project: Exploring Togetherness and Community
Last term, as part of their study of Animal Farm, Year 8 students embarked on a creative book project centered around the theme of togetherness and community. Each student selected a book to read and, through their project, delved into various aspects of the text, connecting it to the broader theme. The students were encouraged to think outside the box and, as always, they exceeded expectations! The projects were diverse and imaginative, with students presenting everything from vibrant posters and informative booklets to intricate tri-fold brochures and even an awe-inspiring scroll.
This week, the class participated in an 'in-class library' event, where they had the chance to showcase their outstanding work. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to explore each other's projects, discover new books, and share recommendations. The day concluded with a lively discussion about the importance of reading and how literacy plays a vital role both in and outside of school.

Alumna Visit
Alumna, Imogen Maher from Lanterna Education returned to Anglo to offer tips and free resources to the Lower and Upper Sixth Diploma students. The students were grateful for her wisdom and asked insightful questions about the Diploma Programme and also studying at a Russell Group university. After graduating with an impressive score in the IB Diploma in 2021, Imogen has been studying International Relations at Exeter University and spent her last year in Strasbourg. Whilst there, she was able to use her French, having studied this at GCSE at Anglo, and also German, which she studied at Higher Level in the IB Diploma Programme. We always enjoy seeing how our ex-students are faring and it was really good to hear how her Anglo education had influenced amazing international career opportunities.

Paris Saint-Germain Academy 2025
It is pleasing to see so many students continuing in the PSG academy in the Spring term, as well as a few new faces joining. We are also pleased to see the PSG academy expand into the 6th form and hope that this will inspire some of our younger students to pursue a path through the school into 6th form and possibly consider studying A-Level PE. As the IBCP route now included A-Level PE as a "career related study", we look forward to seeing the future developments in this area of our curriculum as students will have exposure to a range of coaching, mentoring and work experience opportunities.
There have been one or two enquiries as to how students in Yr7 and Yr8 should catch up on any work they miss in the academic subject they are absent from every two weeks. To clarify, students should ask to copy up notes from a trusted class member and ask their teacher for any resources that were given out in class. This is the same procedure for a student who is absent from school that day due to illness.
