Students will not be permitted to pay when they get to the dance. Students will need to present their student ID when paying as well as when entering the dance. Those without an ID will be able to purchase a ticket after the rest of the students go through the line. Students will be able to pay for the dance during lunch on one of the following days:

We will be following the regular school dress code (this includes no hats, sunglasses, or face paint). Students will be able to have their picture taken with their friends at the dance. Pictures cost $1 for each person who wants a copy of the picture. Also, we are having a bake sale at this dance. Items will cost $0.50 or $1.
Please refer to pages 44 and 51 in the student handbook for attendance at extracurricular events and dance expectations.

MSE Winter/Holiday Assistance
For many, the colder weather and the holiday traditions of winter cause an increase in emotional and financial strain. If your family is in need of assistance this season, please let the MSE school counselors know using this confidential form. Through donations and community resources, we are honored to assist our families in need.
🎁 The deadline to request holiday assistance is Friday, November 15. After this date, the school counselors will continue to work with families. However, available resources may be more limited.
Please complete this form to indicate your preferred stores and/or items. While we are not able to guarantee specific matches, we will make every effort to be considerate of requests.
A school counselor will be in touch by December 6 to schedule pick up or delivery of items between December 10-16.
Egypt Day
An exciting annual event for our 7th grade learners is Egypt Day. Across the core subjects, students have been learning about ancient Egypt and using Egyptian culture as the backdrop for their learning not just in social studies, but also ELA, science, and math. The cross-curricular study culminated in a tour of artifacts created by students and displayed in and around the planetarium. Inside the planetarium, students were able to see how the stars helped create the yearly calendar that is still in effect, and they quizzed each other in a healthy academic competition about other aspects of ancient Egypt and culture. Thank you to our teachers for their time and efforts in creating this engaging learning expreince!
Student Council Food Drive
Student Council is hosting the Turkey Day Food Drive from November 6 - November 20. All items will be donated to Preston’s Pantry at Boyertown Area Multi-Service. See the image below for suggested items that are most needed at Preston’s Pantry. Students should bring donations to the library and place them in teachers’ boxes. The teacher with the most items in his/her box will have to wear a turkey costume on the last day of school before Thanksgiving break!
7th Grade Math Competition
7th grade students have been working to earn IXL stars in math class. IXL tracks students’ individual progress and growth throughout the year. Each star represents 10 points of overall growth by a student. Periodically, students record their progress and get to put their own stars on the bulletin board to celebrate their growth.
The Adventurers and Trailblazers have been competing to see which team can earn more stars. For the first round, the Trailblazers won with a final star count of 476 to 434! They celebrated by going outside on Thursday for a portion of math class and playing kickball.
A new round of competition has begun. Will the Trailblazers reign as champs again or will the Adventurers win the second round? Keep working hard and growing, 7th grade! Your math teachers are proud of your efforts!
