Letter from the Principal
Greetings PPA students, families, and community,
We appreciate the calls into the attendance line for absences. This helps a lot when it comes to having accurate attendance.
We are within our 6th round of workshops and have one more to go!!! The 6th round will come to an end by the end of this month. Remind your scholar they have one more round of workshops to support credit attainment and being on track to graduate.
If you would like for your scholar to attend a summer school please fill out the google form below.

Seniors and senior families please check your emails on a regular basis. Ongoing information is coming out in reference to activities, updates, and more.
We are asking for families to check for missing and damaged Chromebooks AND return them to PPA’s main office. If you need to know how many Chromebooks your scholar has signed out to them, reach out to Ms. Kathy at 608-834-5503. Please be aware there is a fee for missing Chromebooks.

Create A Country
In this class students are learning about topics in government by creating an imaginative country complete with maps, flags, languages, and a tourism brochure. Next week students will be presenting their countries with the rest of the class!
Movie Making 101
Over the past weeks students in Movie Making 101 have worked on learning the parts of a screenplay, analyzing the shot sizes and types in a film, and have edited their own short films. We are currently focusing on writing, filming, and editing Public Service Announcements and Advertisements.
ROBOTICS!
In this workshop, we have been learning the dynamics of group work, problem solving strategies, the ethics surrounding AI and robotics, and coding basics.
PPA Job Fair
Our students participated in a job fair at PPA. We had over 20 exhibitors.

Please use this number when calling in a student for an absence, illness or an appointment. We have been seeing a lot of students leave school early without a guardian/caregivers permission. School is excused at 3:20pm.
Communication and more:
College Access Program in Education (CAPE)
CAPE is a FREE two-week summer collegiate experience for rising high school seniors interested in education, the arts, or health professions. As enrolled students, CAPE students take a two-credit course in Art, Health Professions, or Education while living on the UW–Madison campus. By participating in CAPE, students not only gain valuable college prep skills but also earn college credits. It's also completely FREE! There are no costs associated with this program. Students can visit go.wisc.edu/cape to learn more and apply.

JAG (Job’s of America Graduates)Notes:
Students are continuing to work on the Driver's Education course. We continue to work on updating resumes and applying to jobs. April 24th is Spotlight Day, this gives a chance for the students to shine and tell their story on how JAG has helped them and why JAG is important to them.
