Welcome to February!

January has flown by and we are into a busy month with February. Our students did an excellent job as we reviewed all of the safety procedures and drills last month. This is always a valuable time for our new students to review the expectations during various events.


Our students in 1st and 2nd grade have completed their swimming unit in PE. Great job Coyote swimmers and thanks to our parents for helping and our teachers too!


Our 5th-grade students met the Woodside Middle School counselors as an introduction to middle school. Although we have a semester, our students are starting to get excited about next year! Our 5th-grade students will go to Woodside on May 17 for a tour and to learn more about next year.


We had celebrations in kindergarten to celebrate their 100th day of school! Our 5th graders also celebrated their 1000th day of school as well.

Kindergarten enrollment packets for the 2023-2024 year will be available for pick-up in our school office beginning Monday, February 6, 2023. If you have neighbors or friends with preschool students, please spread the word!

Morning Drop-Off Reminders

For the safety of our students, here are a few reminders for those dropping off students in the morning:


  • Front door is for entrance of carpool drop off only.
  • Walkers are to enter thru the back of the building via the sidewalks. No walking on the grass.
  • No children are to be dropped off on the streets surrounding the school.
  • Please do not drop off early. Staff is present to supervise when doors are open. We are excited to greet them at that time.
  • Stay in between the cones, be patient, and wait for the car in front of you to exit.
  • Pull up to the beginning of the carpool line to drop off

The Allen County Public Library also provides wireless internet hotspots which can be checked out for 7 days at a time.
