Leadership Message
Dear OLA School Community,
With deep gratitude and reverence, OLA joins the global Catholic community in mourning the death of Pope Francis. As a faithful servant and spiritual leader, Pope Francis inspired the world with his compassion, hope, courage, and commitment to the Gospel. His witness to mercy, justice, and care for the most vulnerable has left a lasting legacy. We thank God for the gift of his life and ministry, and pray for his eternal rest in the peace of God’s eternal love. May he rest in peace.
At OLA we have been praying the daily morning intentions for the repose of Pope Francis and praying the Novena. Next week, we will be learning about the life and legacy of Pope Francis. Students will reflect on how they can show love, kindness and care for creation in their own lives.
Dear God,
Thank you for giving us Pope Francis. He loved You and helped many people. Please welcome him into heaven with joy and peace. Help us to follow his example by being kind, loving, and caring for others. Amen.

Jubilee Year-Pilgrims of Hope
A jubilee is a special celebration, renewal, and forgiveness period rooted in religious and secular traditions. In the Christian tradition, a Jubilee Year, or Holy Year, is a time of special spiritual significance declared by the Pope, often held every 25 years (or during extraordinary jubilees). It offers Catholics a unique opportunity for renewal in faith, repentance, pilgrimage, and the reception of special graces or indulgences. The jubilee concept symbolizes mercy, justice, and restoration, inviting people to reflect on forgiveness, equality, and spiritual growth.
