Mrs. Trout and Ms. York's classes had an exciting week, as they welcomed goldfish, guppies, and ladybug larvae to their classrooms! Students are having fun and learning a lot as they get to know their new critter friends for their unit on Life Science.

Attention Families! Thompson School District's 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤-𝐈𝐧 link for the 2025-2026 school year is now available on your Parent Portal. This yearly update is REQUIRED FOR EVERY STUDENT enrolled in Thompson School District for the 2025-2026 school year. Parents/guardians in the student’s primary household need to complete the application by reviewing and updating household, emergency contact, student health information and permissions via the link. To access the Annual Family Check-In Link, please visit https://www.tsd.org/enrollment/afc 1) Follow the instructions on the web page to log into your Parent Portal account. 2) If you are not able to access your Portal account, please contact your student's school secretary/front office staff to request your username and/or password. You may also contact the Help Desk at helpdesk@tsd.org or via phone at 970-613-7777. If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact your student's school secretary/front office staff. We greatly appreciate your support in ensuring that your students and family's information is accurate and complete.

Attention 3rd, 4th, & 5th grade families!

CMAS state testing will begin this Monday, April 7th. Please see the schedule below and try to arrange appointments accordingly. Please arrive to school on time and remember that a good night's sleep and a nutritious breakfast is recommended.

If you plan to volunteer before the end of the year, please be aware that the deadline to register with VITAL is April 30th. New registrations will not be accepted after April 30th. If you would like to register, see the info below.

How to Register

---Go to tsd.org/Volunteer

---Scroll down and click on the blue button that says “New Volunteers”.

---Volunteers will be instructed to create a Username (we suggest using your e-mail address) and password. Make sure to write them down because you will need this in the future.

---Make sure to completely fill out all information and correctly spell your LEGAL name.

---In the area that asks what school you will volunteer with, select the school in which you will volunteer.

---Once registered, volunteers do not need to re-register each year. It is good for 3 years at which time you will receive a request through email for a follow-up background check. You must respond to the email or you will be deleted. Don't forget to check your SPAM folder for important VITAL emails!

Once you submit your registration, we will run the background check and mail a name badge to the school in which you volunteer. You will receive an email about the results of the background check

It's time to order Summer Bridge workbooks for your student! These activities are designed to help students retain what they have learned throughout the summer, and help prepare them for the upcoming school year. Please fill out the flyer (pictured below) that went home during conferences, and return it to school with a check by April 7th. If you need a new form, stop by the BES office between 7:30am and 3:30pm.

Dear Eagle Families,

As the spring weather is warming up, we are seeing an increase in bicycle and scooter traffic to and from school. It has come to our attention that there has been some concerning activity at the bike rack during after-school and evening hours. Some bikes have been taken and ridden by people other than the owner, and some have been returned with damage. For families of bicycle and scooter riders, know that administration is taking this matter seriously and we are closely monitoring this activity. We highly recommend using a lock to secure your bikes and scooters at the bike rack. If your bike is taken or vandalized, we encourage you to report it to local law enforcement.

The 2nd grade teachers are looking for adults who would like to talk to students about their career! Presenting can include a short video to share with classes, coming in as a guest speaker to a 2nd grade class, or having a table in the gym on May 9th at 7:30 AM as classes walk through and ask questions! If you or someone you know is interested in sharing about their job, please fill out the google form through the QR code.

It's time to order your yearbook! Use this link to purchase, or use the QR code on the flyer below. The deadline to purchase is April 18th. If you think you may have already ordered one, but can't remember, use the same link and click "Get details of your previous orders by email".

New to the district? If your student (grades K-12) wants to attend a school outside of their boundary area, you must complete both a Choice Enrollment application and an Online Registration Application for the correct school year.

Missed Round One? No problem! You can still apply during Round Two.

The Thompson School District student art show will be at the Loveland Museum. It starts on March 27th and runs through May 3rd. Art from three Berthoud Elementary students will be on display. Congratulations to those students - Audrey Liberatore, Mason Schutz, and Mial Newton!
