In an effort to create life-long learners, the staff at Westridge Elementary School, working closely with parents and community, strives to realize each child's fullest potential in the areas of personal, social, intellectual, emotional, and physical development.

Dear Westridge Families,

EPS has revised the temperature threshold for when students will have indoor walking club and

indoor recess. Effective today, students will be indoors when the feels like temperature is below 15 degrees. We understand that children benefit greatly from outdoor playtime, and we encourage students to be active even during indoor recess.

Please ensure your child comes to school dressed appropriately for the weather, as they will still have outdoor recess on days when the temperature is above 15 degrees. If you have any questions or concerns about this policy change, please don't hesitate to contact me.

The window to schedule your online conferences is currently open. See the information below for directions on how to schedule your conference time. The window will close at 11:59 PM on Sunday, February 9th. Times are first come, first serve, so be sure to schedule your time right away.

We have scheduled our Valentine's Day parties for Friday, February 7th. Parties will be held at the end of the day. Students are welcome to bring valentines for all of their classmates. Please remember boxes should be decorated at home, as there will not be time to decorate them at school.

On Monday, January 27th, registration for incoming kindergarten students will be open. If you have a child that will be coming to kindergarten next year, please notify our office at 402-289-2559. If someone you know has a child that is going to be attending kindergarten next year, please let them know about the registration window. If they have any questions, they can call the office as well.

Thank you to everyone that joined us for Math Night. We had a great turnout! Math Night is a great way for students to work on their math skills while playing games and having fun! We appreciate your support of the event.
