Dear Families,

We are doing something new this year. Each month we will focus on a trait of the month & September's trait is responsibility. Students will learn about responsibility and ways to be responsible at school & home. There's a BINGO card in your child(ren)'s Friday Folder with ways they can demonstrate responsibility. Students can return cards with a BINGO to school for a castle coin. At the end of the month we will celebrate students who have exemplified the trait of Responsibility at an assembly. We are looking forward to focusing on one trait each month as we help students develop life-long skills.

The Buzz Book is Neihardt's student directory provided by our PTO to free of charge. Its sole purpose is to provide contact information with other Neihardt families for the purpose of scheduling playdates, inviting friends to birthday parties, etc.

The information contained therein is not to be shared by individuals outside of our Neihardt families and participation is completely optional. If you do not complete this form or the pink form sent home, your contact information will be omitted.

If you would like your contact information to be included in the Buzz Book, enter the information in the sections below, exactly as you want it printed. Put NA in any sections you DO NOT want included.

Hello from the Health Room!

In accordance with Nebraska State Statute, #173 NAC 7, Millard Public Schools are required to provide a health screening that includes a dental, vision, and hearing screening as well as weight and height. The health room will be doing a full screening on students in Pre-K through 4th grade. Kindergartners will only be screened for the items missing on their Kindergarten Physicals. You do have the option to opt your child(ren) out of the screening process. However, there is a form that needs to be filled out and signed by a physician before September 4th, 2024. Contact the Neihardt health office at (402) 715-8361, or email Neihardt's school nurse, Julie Varner at javarner@mpsomaha.org.

Important information for 3rd - 5th grade parents

Ipad insurance for 3rd, 4th and/or 5th grade student(s) is available if you choose to purchase it. The insurance for your student's device will not be activated until the $15 fee is paid. Please send $15 (cash or check) in an envelope to the school office marked with your child's name.

You also have the option of paying by credit/debit card. Parents may access Schoolpay by going directly to www.schoolpay.com or by clicking the “Pay Fees” button on the Fees screen in the Synergy ParentVue Application. If you click the button in ParentVue and are NOT yet registered in Schoolpay, it will take you through that process. NOTE: Online credit card transactions have a convenience fee that will be added to your total.
