Central Elementary
Parent Newsletter 3/29/23
A Note from Mr. Hamilton, Principal
Greetings Central Families,
As you well know, January through March can often be a relatively draining stretch. Despite the challenges, multiple data measures at this juncture point to ongoing growth and improvement on both the academic and behavior fronts here at Central. So many great things are happening every day.
Teachers collaborated around building and district priorities and initiatives during last week's PD. With roughly two months left in the 22-23 school year, our collective sights are set on an awesome spring and a strong finish!
We are so proud of our kiddos. Thank you for your ongoing support, and thank you for sharing them with us!
Have a wonderful Spring Break!
Cordially,
Cody

Coming Soon: Kindergarten Round-Up
Time: 5:30-7:30pm
Place: Central Elementary Library
Bring: Registration forms (these will be available this evening if you haven't received them yet), child's birth certificate, driver's license, piece of mail with your name and address to prove residency, immunization record, hearing and vision test results (call the health department for free screenings). The office staff will make copies of all of these documents.
Current DK students and parents do not need to attend the round-up as they will automatically advance to kindergarten in the fall.
Please share this info with anyone you know that will be enrolling their DK/Kindergarten age child in the fall. A child must be 5 years old by December 1, 2023 to be able to enroll for the 2023-2024 school year.
Registration forms can be picked up prior to this evening at the school office M-F from 8:00am-4:00pm.
Thank you!

Fence Post Fundraiser Due Date - May 1st
Here are a few tips if you're still working on it:
The wood is treated, so be careful to avoid splinters.
Use acrylic paint to make it look terrific! We will lacquer and protect all of the fence posts before installing.
Your child/ren’s names or last names would be lovely.
Let other family members know about it! Grandparents, aunts and uncles are welcome to participate.
You can paint just one side or both.

A Message from the Foodservice Director
Please complete a school lunch application if your income has changed since you last filled one out or if you have not yet completed one this year. This information is super helpful for R-P funding, but also necessary for food service to have if an additional round of P-EBT cards go out. Complete the form online at familyportal.cloud. THANK YOU!
