Holy Rosary
NEWSLETTER | TERM 2| WEEK 7 | 31 MAY 2024
“…Over the years, I have come to learn that the breath of God is what makes us do more, reach beyond our grasp, tick more than the box of attendance and affiliation.
For believers, the Holy Spirit animates the best in us. It is the wellspring of goodness born in one heart and activated where two or three are gathered together. The spirit is the energy that enables us to do things, to volunteer, to look around and beyond our own bubble of complacency and to be disturbed into action. The spirit releases the angel of our better selves.
It is the wind beneath the “ah! Bright wings” brooding over a bent world of which Gerard Manley Hopkins writes, a rustle in the trees, a zephyr of change that denounces the predictable sometimes inert, pattern of life.
It is the gust that can unsettle and disquiet. It is a movement of the spirit that can rearrange the landscape of the heart. It is that moving force, the insistent whisper, the part of us that cannot say no. It’s the Godly get-up-and-go that moves our lives for others. It is the breath of God. It is love in the air.
It is the answer, my friend, blowing in the wind.”
Ann Rennie, Catholic Educator & Author
Hi Everyone,
Another wonderful assembly today, led superbly by the Year Two Gang. Remarkable, enjoyable! Enjoy the WA Day long weekend. See you on Tuesday next week.
Best wishes

Illness, Weather, Trees, Parking and Road Safety
We have had a number of children and staff away with some nasty illnesses. Thank you for keeping your children home until they are well. We are taking the same approach with our staff.
Wet weather especially after a long absence can cause us to change our behaviour, and it is on the road, where a couple of people have simply stopped on Williamstown and held up traffic while their child jumps into the car. In the parking areas too, we are seeing some matters of concern. Please exercise even more patience when the weather is wild like it is at the moment. Everybody benefits from calm.
The tree surgeon has been busy today removing the big tree next to the hall car park which died quite suddenly.

SEQTA Engage Parent Log-in to access reports
It is important that you please check your log in for SEQTA Engage as early as possible so that you will be able to access your child's report at the end of this term.
To do this you need to go to the following site:
https://holyrosarydblv.coneqt-p.cathednet.wa.edu.au/
or follow the link from our school website to “SEQTA Engage - parents” and use your username and password credentials that you used previously.
New Families and PP parents will be sent an email next week inviting them to set up a username and password to SEQTA Engage. You will have 7 days to set up your username and password.
If you have remembered your username but have forgotten your password, please click on the Forgot your password? link and an immediate email will be sent to you. The email will expire within one hour, so please action this immediately.
If you forgotten both of these, then please contact the school and we can remind you of your username or re-send a link.
Wild weather antics!
Even in wild weather, Mr. Kinder and our Pre-Primary students know how to hang on and have fun!
School photos have arrived!
Yesterday our school photos were sent home with all students. If you ordered a family photo, please come and collect it from the front office.
Harvest time!
Look at these smiling faces! Two of our students proudly taking home some of the fresh harvest from our school garden. A huge shoutout to Mrs Walsh for her incredible dedication and hard work in making this garden flourish. Your green thumb and passion are truly inspiring!
School Fee Statements
All families were emailed an Updated Fee Statement last week. If you did not receive it, please contact the office or email hrsfinance@cewa.edu.au. A reminder that all fees are required to be fully paid by 30th November 2024.
This week we talked about National Reconciliation Week and the Referendum results from last year. Thanks to our amazing HR community, we received over $500 worth of free books and over $1000 cash from the recent Scholastic Book Fair. These will be well used in our beautiful space. Round 3 of Senior Chess commences next week and Year 5 Book Club is halfway through. Our next big event is Book Week in Week 6 next term, with the theme being, Reading is Magic.
Have a lovely long weekend,
Mrs Butson
