Board Vacancy Announcement
Dear CCA Community,
The CCA Board of Directors Vacancy Committee is soliciting nominations for the one open CCA Board position. Vacancies occur on the Board most often when a member leaves the school or is unable to continue to serve due to personal or professional reasons.
A vacancy is different from an open election. CCA Board members serve three-year terms. A vacancy is tied to the exiting Board member’s term length, which in this vacancy case, is 8 months. The individual appointed to the vacancy by the Vacancy Committee will serve until June 2025.
If you are interested in filling this vacancy, please click here to complete the Nomination Form -
If you have questions regarding the Board Vacancy, please email the Board Vacancy Committee directly at vacancy@cherrycreekacademy.org
If you would like more information about the CCA Board, please click to see the document on the Board Frequently Asked Questions.
The Timeline for the Vacancy Committee Process is as follows:
On Monday, September 23, 2024, solicitation for nominations for the vacancy will close at 4:00 pm.
The Vacancy Committee will begin the Review Process on Monday, September 24, 2024, until Thursday, September 26, 2024.
Vacancy Committee Interviews will be conducted Monday, September 30, 2024 through Friday, October 4, 2024.
The Vacancy Committee will recommend the top candidates to the Board on Friday, October 4, 2024.
The Board will vote on a final candidate at the October 8, 2024, Board Meeting.
Carline Reminders
Morning Drop Off:
The line is long, but it will move quickly when everyone follows the rules.
- Stay in line! Do not pull around the waiting cars or cut in line.
- All students need to be ready to exit the car (passenger side only) once the car has pulled up and stopped.
- Please limit the use of the trunk for holding student backpacks. This takes up time and we have had some cars slide back into the other cars, especially when it has been icy and snowy.
- If you need to talk, sign papers or give lengthy directions or goodbyes, we ask that you please pull into a neighborhood or park on Elmira Circle at the bottom of the hill and walk your student/students in from there.
- The staff outside are there to assist your students. Please stay in your car and pull up. Should your student need assistance, please let a staff member know.
- Do not get out of your car. If you feel you need to watch your student walk through the front door, you will need to park in the neighborhood and walk them to the school, using the crosswalk at Caley and Dayton.
Afternoon Pick-up Times and Locations:
- Please pick up your student at the time specified. Being early backs up traffic and causes significant issues. Our times are staggered, and we have three pickup locations to allow students to be picked up promptly.
- Please make sure you are pulling your car up. Do NOT park and leave openings because you want to sit in the shade or you don't want to have your students not have to "walk too far." When you leave space, other cars assume you are too early, and you are allowing cars to pull in front of you.
*Pick-up locations are subject to change according to student enrollment.
- If you arrive before your student’s assigned pick-up time, you will be asked to leave and come back at your scheduled time.
- Kindergarten 3:00 pm, Caley Front Lot
- First Grade 3:10 pm, Dayton Back Lot
- Second Grade 3:15 pm, Caley Front Lot
- Third Grade 3:15 pm, Dayton Back Lot
- Fourth Grade 3:15 pm, Caley Front Lot
- Fifth Grade 3:20 pm, Bottom of the hill
- Sixth Grade 3:20 pm, Bottom of the hill
- Seventh Grade 3:35 pm, Dayton Back Lot

A note from Dennis Uniform:
At DENNIS Uniform, our mission has always been to support and uplift your school community, a responsibility we hold dear. Last year, we embarked on a journey to enhance our production processes, taking significant steps to better serve you. From expanding the national reach of our dedicated Customer Care team to refining operations at our new Distribution Center, every decision was made with your school families in mind. We also introduced several back-to-school savings events, aiming to provide even greater value during this important season.
However, despite our best intentions and efforts, we fell short in completing all the necessary modifications on time. As a result, some of your school families experienced delays in receiving their uniforms. We deeply regret the stress and inconvenience this caused, especially at the start of a new school year.
We understand how important these uniforms are to your students and their families, and we sincerely apologize for any disruption this may have caused. The good news is that we are now operating at expected levels, and we’re confident that the improvements we’ve made will ensure a smoother experience moving forward. Your trust in us is something we do not take lightly, and we know that transparency and open communication are essential as we work to rebuild that trust.
Please know that we remain fully committed to our partnership and to ensuring the satisfaction of your school community. We are actively working on further improvements to prevent such issues in the future and are here to support you in any way we can. If there is anything more we can do or if you need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly. Your feedback is invaluable as we strive to better serve you.
Thank you for your understanding, and for allowing us the opportunity to make things right.
Sincerely,
DENNIS Uniform
