Earn volunteer hours by providing snacks to the CCA staff every Monday. Store bought items equal one volunteer hour, and homemade items count as 2 volunteer hours. Sign up one week before you will bring snacks. We love taking care of our teachers and staff!

Dear CCA Community,

The CCA Board of Directors Vacancy Committee is soliciting nominations for the one open CCA Board position. Vacancies occur on the Board most often when a member leaves the school or is unable to continue to serve due to personal or professional reasons.

A vacancy is different from an open election. CCA Board members serve three-year terms. A vacancy is tied to the exiting Board member’s term length, which in this vacancy case, is 8 months. The individual appointed to the vacancy by the Vacancy Committee will serve until June 2025.

The Timeline for the Vacancy Committee Process is as follows:

• On Monday, September 23, 2024, solicitation for nominations for the vacancy will close at 4:00 pm.

• The Vacancy Committee will begin the Review Process on Monday, September 24, 2024, until Thursday, September 26, 2024.

• Vacancy Committee Interviews will be conducted Monday, September 30, 2024 through Friday, October 4, 2024.

• The Vacancy Committee will recommend the top candidates to the Board on Friday, October 4, 2024.

• The Board will vote on a final candidate at the October 8, 2024, Board Meeting.

The Fly Like an Eagle committee is a group of parents and staff working together to promote our Eagle Honor character traits at CCA through events and activities. *Donations are needed by Tuesday, September 3, 2024, so if you are able to contribute, please purchase items as soon as possible.The donation link leads to an Amazon list and all items will be mailed directly to the school. A friendly reminder purchased items counts towards volunteer hours.

Student Council registration is currently open for any students interested in joining.

In Student Council, students have the opportunity to step up as leaders at CCA and take on the responsibility of creating events for students. Some events that we have had in the past include Trivia Nights, Movie Nights, School Dances, Valograms, and many other fun activities.

If your student is interested in gaining an elected title such as President, Vice President, or Cabinet Member, or just wants to join us for our meetings to help with these amazing events please consider signing up to be a part of the Student Council. You can register for STUCO using this link.

Our meetings take place in Mr. Oldani’s room (room 115) on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30 pm. Our first meeting will take place on September 3rd.

Attention all CCA Middle School students. Peer Helpers will begin meeting on Friday August 23, 2024, at 7:15am in Mrs. MacFarland's room. (There will be no meeting on August 30, 2024).Peer Helpers is a group of Middle School students who are trained in leadership skills in order to help their fellow CCA community. Any middle school students interested in participating in CCA's Peer Helper program should plan on attending this meeting as well as fill out the CCA Activities registration form for Peer Helpers. CCA is excited to continue our Finance Club this year! Finance Club aims to teach students about basic financial concepts and to get students thinking about how they will manage their finances in the future. Major discussion topics include: Long-term Investing, planning and saving for college, job benefits package considerations, owning a car, rent/mortgage, and more! We will meet on specific Mondays after school, the schedule is here. Our first meeting will be on Monday, Sept. 16th from 3:40 pm to 4:40 pm in Mr. Leins' room. CCA is excited to continue our National Junior Honor Society this year! NJHS is a club that focuses on cultivating scholarship, citizenship, leadership, service, and character. NJHS students represent Cherry Creek Academy in the community and are leaders within the school as they complete five hours of service activities in the academic year. NJHS requires students to have an exemplary academic and character record to become members. Invitations to qualifying students will be sent out by the week of August 26th. The Schedule is here. Our first meeting will now be on Thursday, Sept. 12th from 7:30 am to 7:55 am in Mr. Leins' room. This was rescheduled due to the 6th Grade Overnight Trip.
