Quarter 1 report cards are live now in Skyward for parents and students to view. Printed report cards are available upon request to our Guidance Secretary Ms. Pittman.
No After School Tutoring 10/31 🎃

Friday Morning - Wake Up! at 7:40AM
We will have a "Wake Up" pep rally Friday, November 1st from 7:40 to 8:00AM in the courtyard to get students excited for the MHS vs. FPC football game!

FPC vs. MHS Ticket Information
Fans who will be attending the FPC vs. MHS football game (at FPCHS) are strongly encouraged to pre-purchase tickets on the Hometown Tickets app. This is always a hugely popular game and once the stadium reaches capacity tickets will no longer be sold. Get your ticket in advance using the link below!
Reminder - Flagler Schools Stadium Policy
- Children younger than HS age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. High School students should be prepared to present Student ID for entry.
- Spectators are expected to exhibit good sportsmanship at all athletic events.
- Prohibited Items: Backpacks, coolers, drones, outside food & drink (including refillable water bottles and tumblers), pets, tobacco (including vapes and e-cigarettes), weapons, illegal drugs and alcohol.

Did you know MHS offers online free tutoring hosted by MHS teachers? Students can join these online sessions for math tutoring and homework help on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. This opportunity is open to all students, the link is posted on Schoology.

Believe it or not, winter sports is fast approaching! If you are interested in playing a sport here at Matanzas High School this winter, make sure you have your Athletic Clearance updated and complete with the following information:

Winter Sport Tryout Information
Boys Basketball
Tryouts for boys' basketball will be held on October 28 and 29 at 5:00 PM in the gym. A parent meeting for athletes who make the team will be held on November 7 at 6:00 PM in the gym. For further details, contact Head Coach Eric Guerrero at guerreroe@flaglerschools.com.

Competitive Cheer
Join us at the last home football game this Friday at the SHIP, as the Pirates face off against Pedro Menendez High School at 7:00 PM. Arrive early to honor our senior athletes from football, cheer, band, JROTC, and the sports medicine program!
Boys Soccer
Boys' soccer will host a pre-season tournament at the Indian Trails Sports Complex on October 29 and 30, with games at 5:00 and 7:00 PM. For more information, contact Head Coach Heriberto Aguilar at aguilarh@flaglerschools.com.
Girls Soccer
The girls' soccer season started two weeks ago, and their first game is on November 5 at New Smyrna Beach. If you missed tryouts but are still interested in joining, please reach out to Head Coach Scott Crooke at crookes@flaglerschools.com.
Girls Weightlifting Information
The girls' weightlifting team began practicing on October 7, and their regular season kicks off next week at the SHIP as they take on Pedro Menendez High School. For more information, contact Head Coach Jeremy Ossler at osslerj@flaglerschools.com.
Boys and Girls Wrestling Information
Girls' wrestling begins practice on November 4, while boys' wrestling starts on November 11. There are no tryouts for wrestling, but athletes must maintain GPA eligibility, good discipline standing, and regular practice attendance to stay on the team. Do you still need to pass the Algebra 1 or ELA exam? If you have not yet met the English Language Arts (ELA) and Math exam test score requirements for high school graduation, you can also take the ACT, CLT and/or SAT exams to work towards meeting the concordant score needed for graduation.

Senior Scholarship Information
On October 29th the Flagler County Education Foundation will be hosting an informational meeting in room 6-134 from 5PM to 6:30PM regarding the Flagler Senior Scholarships program.
Cap and Gown Ordering Information
Rhodes Graduation Services is now taking orders for Cap & Gown and other senior items including graduation announcements and Class of 2025 Swag! Cap and gown delivery will be April 4, 2025.
Note: students are not required to purchase a graduation package, families may choose to order individual items, including cap & gown by scrolling down to "Shop All Graduation Products" on the Jostens website. Look for "Custom Cap/Gown/Tassel/Medallion Unit" which includes a cap, gown and tassel. The school medallions are provided by MHS to all students on the day of graduation.
