Elizabeth Stone Fund Scholarship
Notice to those with family members or friends heading to college. Applications are now available for the Elizabeth Stone Fund Scholarship, a one-time award for expenses associated with freshman year at an accredited four-year institution of higher learning. The Elizabeth Stone Fund was formed with a bequest from the estate of Elizabeth Stone for the purpose of establishing a scholarship fund for deserving high school graduates who are residents of Jamestown, and are graduating seniors at an accredited public, private, parochial, vocational or charter high-school; or completing a home school program approved by the Jamestown School Committee. This year $6,000 in scholarships may be awarded to multiple candidates. Winners are selected by the Jamestown School Committee Scholarship Panel. Deadline is April 1, 2025.
Contact the nurses at jsd.nurse@jamestownschools.org
Please include the nurses when emailing teachers and
the main office if a student is absent due to illness.
We are at the height of cold and flu season. Norovirus (stomach bug) is also still circulating. Practicing good hand hygiene at home will help to reinforce healthy habits and keep our community healthy. Handwashing is best (especially with norovirus), but there are sanitizers throughout the school that students can use.
Please review the below sick guidelines to help decide when your student is healthy enough to return to school.
