WINTER ILLNESS - HELP STOP THE SPREAD!
Winter illnesses are upon us! As a reminder, your child must be kept home for 24 hours from the last episode of vomiting and/or diarrhea and must be 24 hours fever-free without the use of fever-reducing medication (IE: Tylenol or Ibuprofen). This is VERY important especially this time of year where illnesses are spreading like wildfire and it is RSU 57 district policy. Your child will be sent home if it is reported to the Nurse or found that they are outside of these parameters or are at school ill. If you have any questions regarding whether your child should return to school or stay home, please do not hesitate to reach out to Nurse Kayla!
FINALS WEEK EXAM SCHEDULE
Charlotte DalPra & Elsie Wehrman - Champions at the Maine Thespian Festival!
This past Friday at the Maine Thespian Festival, MHS had two students participate in the Thespy individual events. Both students received Superior ratings for their work - this means they will both be invited to attend and participate in the Thespys at the International Thespian Festival in Bloomington, Indiana, June 22-27, 2025.
Elsie Wehrman received a superior rating for Acting Solo
Charlotte DalPra received a superior rating for Costume Design
Only 6 students were awarded Superior ratings at the Maine Thespian Festival, so this is quite an honor and shows their dedication to their craft and skill in their respective areas of study.
Congratulation to both Elsie & Charlotte - what an accomplishment!
CONGRATULATIONS DEANNA WATSON - SKILLS USA STATE CHAMPION!
We would like to congratulate our very own Deanna Watson (Massabesic) on winning the State-wide competition to "Brand" the Maine SkillsUSA Leadership Conference this March in Bangor. Her winning designs can be seen in the graphic. The contest description is here: SkillsUSA Maine serves students in CTE programs in Maine by developing the personal, workplace, and technical skills grounded in academics that are needed for career success within the skilled trades. Each year, student members are invited to create a cohesive design package that reflects the theme, the state, and the organization. The winning design is selected by the board of directors. Designs are used for conference t-shirts and pins, for production during opening and closing sessions, and to represent the state association at local and state events during the year. Congratulations Deanna!! #SRTCPride #SRTC #MaineCTE
Congrats to Kyle Abbott, John Bryant, Isabella Rohner, & Samantha Rumney!
