A Note from Mr. Wilkerson
Dear McKelvey Community,
It is hard to believe that we are entering our last week of school. I have thoroughly enjoyed leading McKelvey Intermediate this year, and I look forward to another fulfilling 24/25 school year. We have the best students, families, and staff around, and it has been my honor getting to know each of you.
On Tuesday, our students had a wonderful opportunity to hear about many career options. A huge thank you to those who volunteered their time. It was a great experience for all. Thank you to Mrs. Lescher and the Career Day Planning Team for making it a huge success!
Next week, we will hold our annual End of Year Student Recognition Assembly. We look forward to celebrating all of our students and their accomplishments this year. Look for certificates to come home!
On Wednesday, we will promote our 5th graders as they embark on their next adventure to middle school. We will miss seeing them at McKelvey every day, but we know their futures are bright! They have been great leaders in our building this year. Thank you to Mrs. Petrofsky, Mr. Beutel, Ms. McCarty, and Mrs. Costello for all you have done this year. Our students are lucky to have you. Thank you to the guardians who have tirelessly planned and organized Promotion events!
Last Day of School - 5/30 (Half Day)
Don’t forget that we do not have school on Monday for Memorial Day. We are grateful and honor those who have courageously passed while serving our country.
We will see you Tuesday. Please enjoy the long weekend! As always, reach out with questions or concerns.

Nurse's Notes
MEDICATION REMINDERS FOR END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR AND NEXT SCHOOL YEAR
Just a reminder that all medication at school must be kept in the nurse's office. Students may not bring medicine in to keep in their lunch bags or backpacks. This is a safety issue for them and other students in the school.
The medication authorization form needs to be filled out every year for all medications - prescription and over the counter medication. I am attaching the link to the form so you will have it over the summer to have your doctor fill it out.
If you do have medication in the nurse's office, please be sure to pick it up before the end of the school year. We are not allowed to send medication home with students, and can not keep it in our office over the summer as it may get too hot in the school if the air conditioner is off.
Please let me know if you have any questions
Thank you,
Jane L. Sinnott, BSN, RN, NCSN
Nationally Certified School Nurse
