Good morning, Coleman Middle School parents, teachers, and supporters. We are all dealing with this crazy new “normal” – just taking it one day at a time. One of those “normal” things is PTA. We continue to meet (virtually) and figure out how we can provide the support to our students and teachers through the end of this school year. Although all of our in-person activities have been either canceled or postponed, we are planning for a terrific year next year and even looking to a couple of possible summer events!
In order to keep things on track and running smoothly, our last general PTA meeting of the year will be help virtually on May 20 @ 6 p.m. via Zoom. At that time, we will elect a new slate of officers for the 2020-2021 school year, make a couple of changes to our PTA by-laws, and hear a final report from our treasurer. We hope you will join us May 20 @ 6 p.m. using the Zoom link found at the end of this message.

Proposed Changes to the Coleman Middle School PTA By-Laws
(We made these changes at the January 27, 2020 meeting. However, we realized that we omitted one of the needed article amendments and we did not provide the necessary days’ notice.)
- Article VI, Section 1 – Regarding officers: Amend “one” co-vice president to “two” co-vice presidents
- Article VI, Section 3 and Section 8C – Regarding officer elections: Amend “April” to “May”
- Article XIII, Section 3 – Regarding officer nominations: Amend “April” to “May”
