Student Attendance Notification Updates

Starting December 16, we will be sending you an email if your student has an excused or unexcused absence, or is tardy during the day. This will be in addition to the robocalls we send when your student has an unexcused absence. This change is intended to ensure that families have the most up-to-date attendance information.

Research consistently shows that students who attend school regularly are more likely to achieve higher grades, develop essential life skills, and graduate on time. Each missed day of school represents a missed opportunity for learning, growth, and human connection.

Please ensure that your child attends school regularly and arrives on time each day. If there are circumstances that prevent them from doing so, please connect with your school so they can support your family in addressing those barriers.

As always, please continue to communicate with your school office about your student’s attendance via ParentVue, phone, or email.

ALL families in ALL schools must complete the Child Nutrition Eligibility and Education Benefit Application at https://emealapps.bethelsd.org/. If you haven't filled this out already, please do so now. The form is simple to fill out and confidential. This information is used by the state and federal governments to send increased funding and provide other educational programs in schools with higher populations of students experiencing poverty.
