Just a reminder from the directors that student attendance at rehearsals is imperative to the process. Rehearsals are not optional and should be attended from brief to debrief daily. Please work with your student actor or technician to manage their time, appointments and other commitments. Students that miss more than three times are subject to loss of thespian points, loss of stage time or being dropped from the show. If you or your child needs to review the expectation contract, you can find it here.

Production Fees

Why are they so important? We are so fortunate to have our students in a high school with so many opportunities. Our theater department strives to create professional-level productions. Your $250 production fee makes this possible and includes 4 meals, Show Shirt, yard sign, poster, playbill, script, rehearsal app. The fee also helps pay for the show. For Wizard of OZ, we anticipate spending $9300 for lighting and microphone rentals; $10,000 on royalties; $3000 on props; $15,000 on sets; $15,000 for costumes; and $3500 feeding our cast and crew.

We do work hard to economize. We have been working with Lowes to provide a 15% discount on our set materials. Our students are working hard to sew as many of the costumes as possible. We continue to welcome any corporate donations.

If you would like to lend your talents or skills, we welcome your help. Selling more tickets for Wizard of OZ would go a long way towards paying for these expenses and shoring up our account balance for future events. Royalties for play and music rights are paid for out of the previous year's budget, so part of our goal each year is to leave funds for future productions.

Please invite your family, friends and neighbors to enjoy this incredible production!
