Pack Happenings - May Edition
Kreinhop Newsletter
Message from Mrs. Liesberger
Can you believe we are in the home stretch and it's MAY?! This year flew by, and our students have learned and grown so much! We are so appreciative of all our families and their continued support at home.
There are numerous exciting events coming up in May that you don't want to miss! Next week we kick off Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week, and we will celebrate our amazing Wolfpack each day!
As we look to next school year, please take a moment to give us feedback about how we're doing by CLICKING HERE!
Encourage your children to stay strong and push through until the end - there's still a lot of learning left to do!
5th Grade Awards and Celebration
Our 5th Grade Awards Ceremony and Celebration will be held on Thursday, May 23rd this year. The Awards Ceremony is in the morning and begins at 8:30 am - all parents and families are welcome! The celebration is in the afternoon, and if you'd like to attend the celebration you will need to sign up to volunteer with our PTO. The celebration will only be open to volunteers. There's still plenty of time for your background check!
Student Attendance
We have set an attendance goal for this school year to increase student attendance!
Our current attendance percentage through 4/28/24 is 95.1%, the same as this time last year!
Our GOAL is 97% attendance!
Did you know you can report an absence through Skyward?
Did you know that parent/medical notes must be received within 5 days of the absence?
We are still in need of new/gently used large golf umbrellas!
Huge thank you to those that have donated some already!
Lunch Visitors for 2023-2024
We are so excited to welcome you into our school, and we work very hard to keep our students safe and healthy. Please limit your visits to eat lunch with your child to one time per week. This will minimize the amount of visitors in the cafeteria and give your children the opportunity to socialize with their peers at lunch.
Parents are permitted to eat lunch with their own child, and their child only. Children may not bring friends to the parent table to eat with the parent, regardless of whether the other parent gave permission. Please adhere to this procedure so that we can continue to allow visitors on campus for lunch.
Here at Kreinhop, we implement the Great Expectations program and have been designated a Great Expectations Model School! We teach all students the eight expectations for living and 36 life principles. These expectations build character and increase academic success at school. Ask your child about them! Each week, he/she learns about a new life principle and reviewed the expectations.
Expectation #1:
We will value each other as unique and special individuals.
Expectation #2:
We will not laugh at or make fun of a person's mistakes nor use sarcasm or put downs.
Expectation #3:
We will use good manners, saying "please," "thank you," and "excuse me" and allow others to go first.
Expectation #4:
We will cheer each other to success.
Expectation #5:
We will help one another whenever possible.
Expectation #6:
We will recognize every effort and applaud it.
Expectation #7:
We will encourage each other to do our best.
Expectation #8:
We will practice virtuous living, using the Life Principles.
