We want to take a moment to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your participation in this year’s Every Student is an Artist Art Show. This event was a true celebration of our students' creativity and talent, and it was wonderful to see students from every grade level come together to present such an impressive array of artwork across various mediums and themes.
This marks the first time in quite some time that we’ve hosted an art show of this scale, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome. It was inspiring to watch all of our students express themselves so creatively, and the joy and pride they took in their work were truly evident. Above, you can view the winning artwork from each grade level, and we want to extend our congratulations to all the students who earned the Best in Show ribbon.
Hello PCK Families,
I hope you all had a nice and enjoyable long weekend! I had training on Friday and Monday but I was able to get some relaxation which is always needed. The SROs are beginning to get our summer plans solidified with training, conferences, and some fun stuff for the kids that I will be sure to pass along when we have them finalized!
I wanted to remind drivers during carpool to please stay off your phones, especially when you are in the parking lot. The PCK staff does their best wrangling the kids to their cars, but drivers need to be super attentive to both the kids and the staff so as to avoid any close calls or accidents. And as you go through the different lines remember if you give the cones plenty of room, you will automatically give everyone else room!
I hope everyone has a great weekend and as always, please reach out with any questions.
Stay healthy, happy, and safe,
Deputy Sandifer
We have begun registration for our PCK Spirit Camp, open to students in grades K-5. This year, we've made an exciting change to the camp format, extending it to a three day event to give campers more time to learn and perfect their routines.

Location: MS Commons
During the camp, our Spirit Team will guide campers in memorizing a routine, which will be showcased at the Boys Volleyball game on the final day of camp, March 26. If you are interested in signing up your student for Spirit Camp, please use the button below to register.
Last week, our fifth graders had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the human body and its systems through a hands-on dissection experience. Students explored the relationship between the circulatory and respiratory systems by observing a heart and lung dissection, led by Ms. Garbett, Mrs. Harper, and Dr. Weyman.
This activity provided a unique opportunity for students to make meaningful connections between science and everyday symbols, particularly the classic Valentine’s Day symbol of love. They explored how the heart, often associated with love, plays a vital role in keeping us alive by pumping blood through our bodies and supporting the respiratory system.
We are proud of the curiosity and engagement our students demonstrated during this demonstration, and we look forward to building on this experience as they continue to learn about the wonders of the human body.
Our third grade students recently had the opportunity to participate in a unique and engaging activity as part of their CKLA Viking Age unit. While learning about the fascinating history of the Nordic corsairs, our students were fortunate to have a special guest speaker, Mr. Arholm, our Technology Specialist. Born and raised in Norway, Mr. Arholm shared insights into his Nordic heritage and helped provide a personal and enriched perspective on Viking history.
This memorable experience has deepened our students’ understanding of the Viking Age and connected their classroom learning to a real-life cultural context. We are grateful to Mr. Arholm for sharing his knowledge and passion with our third grade classes.
RSVP by tomorrow, Friday, February 21, for our Community Feedback Session on PCK’s Strategic Plan, which will take place on Wednesday, February 26, from 4:30-6:00 p.m. at the PCK Events Center.
This session will focus on gathering input on our Strategic Plan, which centers around staff retention, academics, community building, and finance—key pillars for PCK’s success and future growth. Your feedback is crucial to help us strengthen the plan and identify areas for improvement. We encourage all PCK community members to attend and share their insights.
We are continuing to build our newly formed PCK Alumni Network, and we are still in search of past alumni who are willing to reconnect with our school community. If you know any former PCK students who might be interested in joining this network, please reach out to them and encourage them to come back to PCK, no matter what year they graduated from PCK.
Our goal is to highlight the incredible accomplishments of our alumni and share their inspiring stories with current families. These success stories are a powerful reminder of the great things PCK students can achieve once they leave our school walls. We believe that by showcasing the achievements of those who have gone before them, our students will be inspired to pursue their dreams and realize that their potential is limitless.
Tomorrow, Friday, February 21, is the final day to submit eighth grade portraits for the yearbook.
Please submit portraits through Treering.com by accessing PCK’s eighth grade folder. If you’re new to Treering, you’ll need to create an account using our unique school code: 1015343699083637.

During this week’s SAC meeting, we discussed and developed a vision to evolve our Classroom Coordinator positions to better serve the needs of our students, teachers, and the greater community.
We are excited about these potential changes and are committed to keeping you informed as we continue to develop this vision and implement the necessary adjustments in the future.
As always, if you have any questions about the SAC or would like to raise any topics at the meeting, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at SAC@ckcs.net.
This week, we are excited to shine our volunteer spotlight on the PCK Moms in Prayer group. We want to express our sincere gratitude for their unwavering support of our staff. Their thoughtfulness, prayers, and dedication have made a tremendous impact on our school community.
The kindness they show in supporting our teachers and staff members does not go unnoticed. It’s truly heartwarming to see their commitment to fostering an encouraging and uplifting environment at PCK. We deeply appreciate all they do and are thankful for their continued efforts in making our school such a special place.
Thank you to the Moms in Prayer group for being a vital part of our PCK family!
