SPEHS Parent/Caregiver Sunday Call

Greetings East High School scholars, families, and caregivers,

We have a busy week at SPEHS as the third week of May approaches. We provide several after-school programs as a way to reward and acknowledge our scholars. Monday, May 20th, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the PAC is Senior Night. We will honor the Class of 2024 with scholarships, departmental honors, and club recognition during this occasion. Tuesday, May 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. is when SPEHS's PAC will host AVID Senior Night as part of the celebrations. On Wednesday, there is an NHS Induction ceremony from 6 to 8 p.m. Additionally, SPEHS is hosting an eighth grade family night that same day from 6 to 8 p.m.

The final three weeks of the academic year are drawing to an immediate end. Note that final grades must be submitted by Thursday, June 6. Formative assessments and late work must be turned in by Friday, May 24. Friday, May 31 is the last day to turn in summative assessments. Please don't put off starting your coursework till May 24th. Students who are struggling in their studies should collaborate with their teachers to gain the assistance and motivation they require so they can show that they have understood the material. Participation in the WIN and fifth-hour sessions is still open to students. Never hesitate to contact your child's teacher if you have any questions.

5th - hour tutoring

After-school tutoring, called 5th Hour, runs every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the LMC after school from 3:50-4:40 p.m. An after-school activity bus will be available at 4:45 pm out door 16 and is available for those that have a bus tag. Please feel free to join if you are looking for a quiet place to study or assistance with any academics.
