Schewe Speech
Conferences are a valuable opportunity for parents and teachers to connect and collaborate. They help build strong relationships to establish a strong support system for each student. When there is a strong relationship between home and school, students thrive academically. Conferences is also a time to discuss strengths and concerns as well as provide an opportunity to set goals for your child.
If you have not done so already, please sign up for a parent teacher conference. We would love to connect with all families!
To sign up:
- Please enter the following web address into your browser window: https://ptcfast.com/schools/Hanna_Woods_Elementary_2
- Please select your child's teacher to sign up for a 15-minute conference on either November 12th or 14th. All specialists (PE, music, art, strings, library, and MOSIACS) also have individual links. If you would like to attend a conference with a specialist, please also sign up for a 15-minute conference with them. If your child receives services from our reading specialist, math specialist, or special school district, they also have individual links.
Conferences will be available online up to 24 hours before the scheduled conference. We look forward to seeing you at conferences this year!
Scholastic Book Fair
Dear Families:
The Scholastic Book Fair begins this week! Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them on their journey to becoming lifelong readers. AND—as always—every purchase at the Fair benefits our school.
Here’s what you need to know about the big event, which will take place from Monday, Nov. 11th - Friday, Nov. 15th in the Hanna Woods Commons:
Say goodbye to cash and hello to eWallet—your child’s digital payment account. Before the Fair, set up eWallet for worry-free, cash-free purchases. Anyone can contribute! Share each child’s eWallet so friends and family can add funds and give your kids more books to enjoy.
If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop at our school’s Book Fair online. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Every online purchase will also benefit our school.
Visit our Book Fair homepage to learn more and get started with eWallet and online shopping:
