A Message from the Principals
Happy Weekend, Pine Brook Families!
We have kicked-off our second building-wide Wildly Important Goal (WIG)! We are challenging our community to develop and ask higher level questions. Learning how to develop higher level questions helps students to:
Enhance critical thinking
Foster curiosity
Improve communication skills
Come up with innovative solutions
Some examples of higher level questions include:
What would happen if we put a marshmallow in the microwave?
How does communication look without sound?
What if we woke up tomorrow and there were no laws? What would be different?
How can you make art that looks like other art using a different material?
How do family photos tell a story?
Join us in our challenge and encourage your Panther to come up with questions about activities they participate in this weekend or about a topic they love! Ask them to explain their reasoning and explore different topics more deeply together.
Happy questioning!
Andrea and Allie
β‘ IGNITE Update β‘
This week at IGNITE, our students are diving deep into various exciting projects! Our 4th and 5th graders are honing their debate skills by discussing the impact of the internet and AI on society. They're also starting their journey into robotics, learning to navigate and utilize our robotics programs.
Meanwhile, our 2nd and 3rd graders are wrapping up their Chromebook troubleshooting slideshows, showcasing their knowledge and problem-solving abilities. Our youngest learners, our Kindergarten and 1st graders, are engaging in a hands-on science experiment, building structures to protect kittens from the rain and testing different materials for their water resistance.
Stay tuned for next week as we unveil new projects that will showcase our students' learning and creativity!

Next week, the reading schedule is as follows:
- November 18th: Chapters 27 - 29
- November 19th: Chapters 30-33
- November 20th: Chapters 34 - 37
- November 21st: Chapters 38 - 41
Happy reading!

A Closer Look at the βUpdateβ Portion of the Level Up Capital Project Proposal
On December 10, Greece Central residents will vote on the Level Up Capital Improvement Project proposal. The proposal has two key components β Upkeep and Update. This week, we take a closer look at the βUpdateβ portion of the project, which includes plans to reconfigure and add several classrooms and spaces used for student support to better meet the needs of the current student population. Linked is an information sheet that includes a school-by-school list of proposed βUpdateβ projects.
We encourage all registered voters to mark their calendars and make time to vote on December 10! Polls will be open at the districtβs Transportation and Support Services Facility, located at 1790 Latta Road, from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m. Visit the district website for more information.

π± Who to Call π±
Who to Call With Questions is a Resource for Families
Building trust and ensuring that there are open lines of communication between home and school are essential for student success. We want to be sure you know who to contact with questions or concerns. In December, the district shared a new resource for families. In case you missed it, this linked Who to Call with Questions, Concerns and Compliments reference guide is a step-by-step guide families can use to ensure questions are answered quickly and effectively. Please refer to it whenever you need to speak to someone about your childβs progress. Whether your inquiry is about academics, safety, or services and supports, there are people at the school and district level who are ready to help whenever a question or concern arises.
