Heath Brook
Teacher Assignments, Arrival and Dismissal info
Hello Heath Brook Families
Aspen is projected to roll over Thursday evening, making classroom assignments available for Grade 1 students in Aspen on Friday. Letters for grades PK-1 were mailed on Monday and you should expect them in your home mailboxes soon.
The Heath Brook School team has the responsibility of assigning each student to a classroom for the following year. In order to provide the best education and experience possible, among the many things considered during this process are student abilities, learning styles, boy/girl ratios, teaching styles, and the special needs of students. The school team worked collaboratively with specialists, teachers, parents, and others to make class lists for the upcoming school year.
At the Heath Brook, we have a fantastic team of teachers who are ready to support all of our students. I am confident that your child(ren) will thrive in any of their classrooms, as they are all phenomenal at supporting students and their individual needs. Please know that due to the size of our school, staffing movements, and the complexity of the placement process, our school does not accept any requests for specific teachers. I ask that you please trust this process and refrain from making any requests for changes in placement. Your child's teacher is excited to have them in their classroom and is eager to start the school year with the students who have been assigned to them.
Please see the guidance below on our revised drop off and pickup procedures.
Looking forward to seeing you all soon!

Arrival & Dismissal Procedures
Each year, we reflect on our drop-off and pick-up procedures to make sure that we have systems in place that allow students to get to school safely and efficiently. We are also pleased that Tewksbury Public Schools provides such reliable, free bus transportation to all students. We encourage families to utilize this resource, as it is an exciting part of our students’ school experience.
However, if you choose to drive your child to school in the mornings and afternoons, we kindly ask that you review the following procedures.
*If your child is late to school, please park in the marked spots and walk your child to the front door/ring the bell and a staff member will assist.
We will be using Pickup Patrol this year to organize attendance and dismissals. See introductory information in this letter.
Bus students: Students taking the bus home will be accompanied to bus dismissal locations in school where they will wait in their bus lines until the buses have arrived.
Parent Pickup:
Parents are responsible for ensuring their child is buckled safely before driving away.
Parents: Please be considerate of other parents and complete all pickup routines as quickly as possible.
