Info on Student Devices
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we want to share some important information regarding the management of student devices. Our goal is to ensure that every student is equipped to succeed while maintaining the highest standards of care and responsibility.
Student Expectations and Support Resources
At District 70, we are committed to providing students with the tools they need for a successful learning experience. We also expect students to take responsibility for their technology devices.
Appropriate and proper use of technology will be discussed with students throughout the year.
Families should review the Technology Responsible Use & Safety Document that can be found on the technology page of the district website. Please note that this document was linked to and agreed upon by all families as part of the registration process.
Process for Handling Broken, Lost, or Stolen Devices
Students and families can submit a request for support by visiting help.d70schools.org and logging into the ticketing system using the student’s district Google account.
What You Can Expect from Our Technology Team
Our technology team is dedicated to supporting students and families throughout this process.
Reference to Fees for Broken, Lost, or Stolen Items
While we strive to minimize any additional costs to families, it is important to manage our resources effectively. The fee structure for broken, lost, or stolen devices is detailed in the Technology Responsible Use & Safety Document. We encourage you to review this document to understand the applicable fees and responsibilities that were agreed upon at registration.
We believe these measures will help us better manage our resources and ensure that all students have the tools they need for a successful school year.
Thank you for your attention to these important matters. We appreciate your cooperation and support as we work together to provide the best possible learning environment for our students. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Camp Invention brought out the creativeness in more than 100 students who participated in a weeklong STEAM adventure.
Students work on engineering and designing skills during Camp Invention.
Copeland Manor families braved the heat to meet new Principal Annette McBride and enjoyed ice pops on the playground.
Families Learning Together
Families Learning Together is a District 70 initiative providing learning opportunities for our parents, caregivers, and the community in an adult-only setting. Throughout the school year, D70 would like to host family events that are informative and relevant for our families.
We are looking for suggestions for this year's Families Learning Together series. Last year we hosted nine events throughout the school year. Topics included: Media Literacy and Social Emotional Learning; Self Care and Stress Management for Busy Families; General Safety Tips and Threat Assessment Information; Raising a Drug-Free Teen; CKLA Information for Parents and more!
This year we are looking for new topics that are relevant to our families and caregivers. Please fill out this form if you have a topic you would like to suggest. Thank you!
