BSES Families,

This week we enjoyed musical performances throughout the week. Our fourth grade band members showed off their musical talents during performances at Garnet Valley High School. This week our fifth grade band and orchestra performed for our school. It has been wonderful to watch these students take on this learning and grow so much. We look forward to the spring concert series continuing next week with our band performances, followed by the chorus the following week.

We want to thank our amazing Home & School Association for showing our entire staff appreciation throughout the week. The door decorations, treats, breakfast and lunch were GOLD! Everything was delicious and enjoyed by all. Every day we are grateful for our partnership with our parents and families. We are so fortunate to work with such fabulous people. A special shout out to Kristin SanFilippo for organizing all of the specialness and spoiling us.

The Home and School Association is pleased to offer a fundraiser to pre-order school supply kits that will be delivered to your child's classroom ahead of the first day of school. Please see the flyer below if you are interested in purchasing supplies through EPI. The deadline for orders is June 10th. Kits will not be available for purchase beyond the deadline.

What a great week at BSES!

We are just one week away from our annual Jaguar Color Dash!! We love that this is one of our students’ favorite events each year and we can feel the excitement rising as this event draws near!!

And, there’s only one week left to donate to our Color Dash Fundraiser! For every $10 earned, students will earn a raffle ticket for a chance to win these INCREDIBLE prizes!! We are so grateful to all of our supportive local businesses and teachers who very generously donated these prizes for our students to enjoy!! With so many exciting and fun opportunities, we can’t wait to see who wins! Winners will be announced LIVE at our 6/6 Color Dash Raffle Prize drawing! Remember - every $10 counts for a chance at winning big!!

You can donate by 5/17 online at https://myfunrun.com/jcd2024 or you can send Venmo payments to @BSES-HSA (please include your child’s name in comments)! You may also send cash or checks to the office under your child’s name.

Students will be receiving their color dash t-shirts to wear on the day of the event. Please have your student wear this t-shirt along with shirts/pants and shoes that can get colored!

Parents are welcome to come and watch their children participate in the event! The schedule for the day is as follows:

Session 1: 10:00am-11:00am, 4th & 5th grade

Session 2: 12:15pm - 1:15pm, Kindergarten & 1st grade

Session 3: 1:30pm - 2:30pm, 2nd & 3rd grade

We can’t wait to see everyone run in full color next Friday!!

The time is almost here to celebrate our 5th graders at the 5th Grade Sendoff Pool Party!!! Be sure to fill out this form and submit a $20 payment to register your child for a fun night with friends!

ATTENTION 5th Grade Parents!! Your child will be coming home with their 5th grade time capsule packages this week. The package includes the instructions for you to prepare their time capsule, a student questionnaire for them to complete and an envelope with their name on it for you to send back to school. These are due into school by no later than June 3rd. The time capsule committee will be collecting these every Friday between April 19th -June 3rd. These will be stored together as the class of 2031 and will be handed out at their post prom when they are Seniors.

Our calendar is getting pretty busy, so if you want to be a BSES Keeper of the Trail, now's the time to hop in! Come on, let's get outside and become the 'Family of the Week'! You can choose any of the remaining weeks to hang out with your student(s) and take care of the beautiful Bethel Springs Nature Trail behind the school." See checklist below of what to bring and do.
