Hosting American Classic Music Festival, 7:30 am - 12:00 pm, volunteers sign up sheet posted in band hall

Spring Concert

Our Spring Concert is Monday, May 13th in the DHS Auditorium. We are doing a joint concert with the Danville MS Band. The DHS Jazz Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble will be performing. We will be wearing Sunday’s best - what you would wear to a wedding, banquet, etc.

4:45-5:15 pm - Combined Symphonic Band and Concert Band Rehearsal
6:25 pm - Call time for Jazz Band in choir room
7:35 pm - Call time for Symphonic Band/Concert Band in band hall
7:55 pm - Call time for Wind Ensemble in band hall

Reminders

Students are not required to stay for other performances unless they want to.
Students may stay after school, but are responsible for their own dinner.
We will be wearing Sunday’s best -what you would wear to a wedding, banquet, etc.

Texas State Solo and Ensemble

All students who advanced to the UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest will be attending the contest on May 27th. The performance schedule is listed below. $10 will be provided for one of the two meals.

Tentative itinerary

9:30 am - Meet at the school
9:45 am - Depart DHS
11:30 am - Stop for lunch near Hendrickson HS
12:15 pm - Arrive at Hendrickson HS
1 pm - First performance at TSSEC
5:10 pm - Last performance at TSSC
5:30 pm - Depart Hendrickson HS
6:30 pm - Stop for diner on the way home
8:15 pm - Arrive at Davenport HS

2024-2025 Marching Band Fair Share Fee Update

The Fair Share Fee for the 2024-2025 school year will be $500. Siblings will be half price. Last year we fed the students over 20 times and used the majority of the fee to pay for food. Thanks to the support of our Booster Club, we are able to have a fair share fee that is hundreds of dollars less than programs in our area that we compete against. This fee is due on June 1st at band registration for the 2024 marching season. Payment plans are available. Please talk with Mr. Keyes is you have a concern regarding the fee.
