The Robotics Club participated in a scrimmage at Miami University last Saturday. The members got to meet other teams, see various robots, and get ideas on how to modify their robot for the upcoming season.
Drama Club is looking for voice over actors for 12 Angry Men.
The current plan is for three rehearsals after school Jan 8-10, and then public readings Saturday night the 11th, and Sunday afternoon the 12th.
This is story/radio style theatre, so no memorizing, no set or costumes. Just performing the script from music stands on stage. A great opportunity to jump into a theatre production if you're nervous, or short on time to commit.
Contact Melanie Mortimore, Drama Director for more information.
EYEGLASS COLLECTION
The Oxford Lions Club Sight Saving Committee is collecting used eyeglasses, as well as glasses cases! These glasses and cases are donated all over the world to children who are in need. The lenses and frames from the donated glasses are modified to meet individual children's eye needs. Every year, Oxford Lions Club collects and sends 900-plus pairs of glasses to children in need!
Please send any glasses donations to Betsy Beaton (Marshall Elementary School) or Shaunna Tafelski (Board Office) by December 16th, 2024. We are happy to swing by and pick up glasses donations or they can be dropped off at Marshall or the Board Office. Thank you for supporting the Oxford Lions Club! :)
