Health Science Students Create Lung Models to Learn Respiratory System
Hands-On Learning in Ms. Hovell’s Human Body Structures and Functions Class
Students in Ms. Hovell’s Human Body Structures and Functions class have been engaging hands-on projects. Juniors worked in small groups to create working lung models as part of their study of the respiratory system.
As the second course in the Health Science Academy, Human Body Structures and Functions is part of a 3-course sequence designed to prepare students for careers in the medical field. Next year, these students will advance to the Health Science internship lab, where they will train for the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) exam before graduation.
We are proud of their hard work and look forward to their continued success in the program!
