Thank You For a Great Start
Dear Lake Seneca Families,
What an incredible first week of school for our Kindergarten through Fifth Grade students! I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our students, parents, and staff for making this week fantastic. Your enthusiasm, energy, and support have made the start of this school year truly special.
I am deeply honored to serve as your principal and to be part of such a wonderful community. As we look ahead to this coming week, I am excited to welcome our Pre-K and PEP students to Lake Seneca. I can't wait to see our youngest learners begin their educational journey with us!
Thank you again for a great start to the school year. I look forward to many more weeks of learning, growth, and fun together!

PTA Update
I wanted to provide a quick update regarding our PTA. We are still waiting to hear back on some details, but I am hopeful that we will have more information soon. My goal is to have a thriving PTA this school year, and I am committed to working towards that. As soon as I have any updates, I will be sure to share them with you. I truly believe that having every family involved in our PTA will make a tremendous difference in our school community, and I am excited to work together to achieve this goal.
Thank you for your patience and support as we work towards building a strong and active PTA. I look forward to seeing all our families join and participate this year!
2024-2025 Breakfast and Lunch Updates
Children need healthy meals to learn. The Division of Food and Nutrition Services serves more than 18 million meals annually. We support healthy meal options for students and continually explore new ways to enhance the nutritional contribution and student acceptability of meals. DFNS is excited to announce that 60 schools are participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) and will have access to breakfast and lunch at no charge each day. Lake Seneca is a CEP school for the 2024-2025 school year. We encourage students to eat breakfast and lunch at school to fuel them to learn for the day. A list of CEP schools and more information on the CEP program can be found on the MCPS website.
