A note from Mr. Schiller
Hello Caring Critter Families,
I hope you had a great weekend. This time of year always seems to move so quickly with spring sports gearing up, cleaning the yard from the winter, and getting outside to enjoy the warm weather.
As some of you may know, our playground received some damages over the winter. Unfortunately, three of our slides were purposefully damaged, and are now unusable. We are currently working with a vendor for pricing and a timeline for the replacements. The two challenges will be to size up the parts and funding. The equipment that was damaged will need to be removed, which will more than likely cause the playground to be closed during construction. We hope this will occur over the summer months. The cost will be around $12,000. We are looking at funding options.
One way that we have made improvements to the playground in the past is use our funds from the Annual Fun Run. We are planning this event at the end of May. This CIPS PTO event will help to cover the repair costs at CPS. More information will be sent home with students in the coming weeks.
The CIPS PTO will host the annual Spring Fling on Saturday, April 20 - 9:00 am -12:00 pm - $3/per or $10/family max. We will have a variety of games, activities, and food. We hope you are able to make it out for the event.
Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Take care,
Mr. Neil Schiller

FAMILY ACTIVITY!
Isanti County Family Support Team has partnered with CPS and CIS to create a fun activity for our families this month! All students will be provided with a "scavenger list" of phrases and quotes to search for around the exterior windows of CPS and CIS. When families find a poster during the month of April, they can write down the number located on the poster that corresponds to the phrase. Once they find all the phrases, the student can exchange their completed sheet into their school's front office for a fun prize! Have fun!
