Dear Families,

Thank you for your support and flexibility as we had to call a "snow day" during a week we already had 2 days off. When we have to make a change, we will send emails and texts, along with notifying the KARE 11 school closure announcement line.

Parent/Teacher Conferences are coming up. We value our family partnerships and strongly encourage everyone to sign up for conferences. Please see your email for this registration sign up!

As COVID numbers are decreasing, many school districts nearby are lifting the mask requirements within schools. Our School Board and Administration would like your input about the Mask Requirement, as we prioritize in-person learning. Please complete the survey link below. Our NMFA Board will be meeting tomorrow (Friday) to make a decision for after Spring Break.

CDC updated their recommendations for isolation and quarantine when sick or exposed to COVID-19: Quarantine and Isolation. MDH updated If You Are Sick or Test Positive and Close contacts and Quarantine, and we are working to revise other guidance and materials to align with CDC over the coming days.

This updated guidance does apply to K-12 school settings (refer to Overview of COVID-19 Quarantine for K-12 Schools).

PLEASE REMEMBER:

If your child is experiencing any symptoms, please keep them home to monitor and test.

• Please fill out the survey in the button above regarding our possible mask policy change.
• Conference sign up for all grades will begin on Tuesday February 22nd. Please check your email. Families will be using the login in information that was sent home with your student to login and sign up.
• Book fair will be arriving at NMFA Friday, February 25th to begin student preview and shopping. Reminder to all parents you have the option to send money for students to shop via e-wallet. More information will come home next week regarding this.

• Parents and guardians thank you so much for your help in getting us your students re-enrollment forms back. This is a reminder that we have not received some student's re-enrollment form for next year. After this week we will begin sending registrations to families that have applied during re-enrollment; generally during re-enrollment, any forms turned in saves that seat for the student. Then after re-enrollment ends we begin filling any empty seats with student who turn in re-enrollment late or are new students. To ensure we have space for your students please get these forms back as soon as possible.

February 25th: No school Staff Development day

February 28th - March 3rd: Book fair at NMFA

March 1st -4th: School wide conferences –(No tutoring March 1-3 due to conferences.)

March 3rd: End of Trimester

March 4th: No school – Conferences

March 7th – 11th: Spring break

Families can help donate money to our school when purchasing from Amazon by just using their account in these simple steps:

4. Start shopping! They must then always use smile.amazon.com to generate donations for the school.

Sign up for Amazon Smile in the Amazon app on their mobile phone.

1. Open the amazon app
2. Navigate to main menu
3. Tap settings and then select AmazonSmile
4. Select North Metro Flex Academy and follow the on-screen instructions to turn on
5. Once activated in the app, all future app purchases will generate donations when eligible.
