A Look at the Week Ahead

Reading:

We will read aloud multiple books and continue practicing procedures for Reader's Workshop. Students will be practicing how to use the different literacy stations during Reader's workshop. We will also focus on consonant clusters and long vowel sounds in words.

Writing:

This week we will begin discussing the writing process as we prepare to write our first persuasive essay.

Math:

This week we will continue our focus on number sense as we practice skip counting by 5's, 10's, and 100's. We will also take our end of the unit assessment on Friday, September 6th.

Content:

This week we will continue our Kidz Court unit in which we learn how our government system works.
