Reminder- Please No Energy Drinks at School
We are seeing an increase in students coming to school with energy drinks. We would like to remind caregivers that energy drinks are not permitted on campus. Studies are showing an increase in adolescent energy drink consumption across the US. Energy drinks are not only filled with more caffeine than what is recommended for teens, they also have large amounts of sugar content. Doctors have seen increase in heart rates, anxiety, heart arrhythmias, dehydration, high blood pressure, insomnia, and even seizures as a result of energy drink consumption in teens. We appreciate your support starting at home as we try and prevent energy drinks on campus!
